The email correspondence is not good, but when you arrive there, everyone is so amazing and extra friendly! There was a free pick up from the station and then daily shuttles in the morning. It was perfect for us. Expensive but excellent service. Breakfast was super amazing!

Enjoyed our stay at Fuji Onsenji Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the onsen was very good and relaxing. Breakfast was a highlight felt like a private omakase experience, beautifully prepared and delicious. The only downside is the location, which is a bit less convenient, but overall a pleasant and memorable stay.

The room is nice. But It used to be more impressive when we stayed at this ryokan 5-6 years ago. Somehow we felt like their service dropped significantly. Everything are more strict  for example daily cleaning time is 11.00 -11.30 only and cannot be postpone. Check out time is 11.00  and then we decide to chill a bit at the lobby before leaving ( around 11.20 ) they politely asked us to leave by telling us that they will clean the lobby.  Which I think is there right to do so but it really feels uptight - not relax at all - and not as impressive like the other ryokans we stayed.

The Japanese-style room was very spacious and comfortable, and it even came with a small private onsen. The housekeeper was very welcoming during the day. However, since we checked in late, all the staff had already left, leaving only a security guard to handle our check-in, and there was no one to greet us.

I really loved it here and would definitely come back if I get the chance. It's incredibly quiet, almost as if there are only 11 rooms in the whole hotel. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and each room is assigned a private breakfast room. The staff are super warm and patient. Plus, there's free alcohol and Starbucks coffee in the hotel lounge area. Just a heads-up, many hotels in Japan charge per person. I thought my 5-year-old wouldn't incur a charge, but we ended up paying a small extra fee. Honestly, I found it acceptable since we still got to enjoy the services. So, remember to specify the exact number of guests when booking your hotel. The private onsen was an absolute treat! If your child finds it too hot, they can always use the bathtub instead~

The meals was the best part of the stay. It made everything else in Tokyo pale in comparison. Room was clean and spacious and the hot spring was also wonderful. Staff service was also good, only downside is that English proficiency varied significantly. But otherwise a very good experience.
