Great value and good view of the lake and Fuji! I really liked the traditional style of the rooms. Service was good despite other reviews, and it's not that strict - you just need to follow their house rules, which aren't that onerous. If you book this place with the idea that it is a homestay with house rules, you wouldn't be disappointed!

The only minus is that you can not store the luggage

This ryokan is my family favorite place. We disired to visit there every year from now on. Not free will as general hotels but you can spend lot of peacful time with your family. Highly recommend to reserve room with dinner and breakfast because doesn't has any restuarant nearby open up late. The overall feeling is very cozy. Although there are some small rules in the B&B, they are all for the maintenance of facilities so it is understandable. You can choose to use the shared bathroom at fixed times, which is very comfortable to wash! The most important thing is that you can see the beautiful Mount Fuji when you open the window of the room. I will recommend it to my family and friends to stay here👍🏻

Whether it's the view of Mount Fuji, the service, etc. are all great. Only the air conditioning is a bit lukewarm, so it would be better to stay in winter!

It was a bad experience. I read the reviews before checking in and decided to book this B&B. The hotel is located toward Lake Kawaguchi, a 25-minute drive from the central station. It has a good view of Mount Fuji, but the surrounding area is quite remote. Don’t even think about it after around six o’clock. After going out for a walk and eating, we arrived at the hotel which is relatively close to the lake. It is a very old B&B with no elevator. You have to move it up yourself to salute. The store owner will watch you move it up by yourself. Once you get close to the door, the whole room is covered with tatami mats. There is not even a place to let people go. What is frustrating is that there is no shower or toilet in the whole room. At first, I read the reviews and thought there was a public hot spring pool. When I arrived, I found out that it was reserved for all hotel guests to take baths at different times. After the time, you can't go there. After taking a shower, the bathhouse is like a bathroom in the 1980s. It is very old. The bathroom is also public. You have to meet other tenants in pajamas in the middle of the night. The washing area is also public. The bed in the room was taken out of the cabinet and made by oneself. The soundproofing of the room is very poor. If the sound from next door is louder, you can hear it. However, if you like to experience Japanese-style B&B, you can try it. Overall, I really cannot accept this kind of stay experience! The hotel is not Luggage storage is provided, so be sure to plan ahead, which is also amazing!

Good location, clean room, friendly service staff. This is my second stay. If you want to take a mirror image of Mount Fuji, you just need to arrive at the trailhead early to take pictures. Open the windows and enjoy great views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji.

In addition to the great scenery, it is also highly recommended to choose the one-night-and-two-food plan. The meals are rich and delicious, and there is no need to worry about the Kawaguchiko store closing early. Will definitely come back, it is currently my favorite place to stay in Lake Kawaguchi.
