Mt. Fuji View Onsen Ooike Hotel

From the moment we arrived, we received full service, and every staff member was very polite. The hot springs on the 1st floor are open until midnight, featuring both indoor and outdoor pools. The hot springs on the 5th floor are open until 10 PM, with indoor pools only. The breakfast selection was decent. For dinner, the shabu-shabu came with 10 thin slices of meat, which felt a bit sparse, but with the added vegetables, udon, and dessert, it was enough to fill us up.

The staff were incredibly patient and both the young men and women were very friendly. They arranged a car to take us to Hekou. For our first hotel dinner, we were expecting a buffet, but it turned out to be Japanese cuisine served course by course, which instantly made us feel the stay was excellent value for money. The room was clean and tidy, and it was my first time experiencing Japanese-style accommodation. The surrounding area was quiet and clean. You can even enjoy some snacks before check-in.

The room with the view of Mount Fuji was amazing; just looking at it made me feel so much more peaceful. The hotel offered complimentary snacks and drinks, and the dinner was also very good. The service was thoughtful and attentive. They provide a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. When you need a pickup, you can go to the nearby tourist information center and ask staff to call the hotel. After confirming your booking name and nationality, a car will be sent over very quickly. P.S. Make sure to keep your key safe! There's a 10,000 JPY fine if you lose it at checkout.

The room has both a Japanese-style and a Western-style section. The bathroom features a thermostatic bathtub, and on clear days, you can see Mount Fuji from the window. Oike Park is less than a 5-minute walk away, and there's a free shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko Station. The staff are enthusiastic. Overall, it's a great hotel. The only minor drawbacks are the limited variety of breakfast options and the lack of power outlets near the beds in the Western-style room.
