Great
LLanshanzhijiaThe service was absolutely amazing! My only slight embarrassment was having the lovely elderly couple serving us and carrying our luggage – it felt a bit awkward for younger folks like us to just stand by and watch. The hotel's pick-up and drop-off service was incredibly convenient. We arrived at Fujisan Kawaguchiko Station at 8 PM, used the free internet call from our Trip.com order to contact the hotel for a pick-up, and waited at bus stop #10. They even reminded us to buy some food beforehand, then call the bus, which arrived in just five minutes. The hotel has two hot springs ♨️, and experiencing one of them was wonderfully relaxing. We stayed in a mountain-view room. At 4:30 AM, I couldn't wait to open the curtains to see if Mount Fuji was visible, but unfortunately, it was shrouded in mist. I went downstairs and asked the staff, who said we'd be able to see it in 20 minutes. And sure enough, Mount Fuji didn't disappoint on this trip! I even met a Thai tourist who had stayed three nights, and this was their first time seeing the full view of Mount Fuji. After check-out, the hotel's shuttle bus took us directly to our first sightseeing spot, which was very convenient. They also told us to call the hotel 40 minutes before we left, and they would deliver our luggage back to Kawaguchiko bus station. Truly thoughtful!

MM238400****I booked this room specifically for the Mt. Fuji view. It was much cheaper than other hotels in the area, but really, all you're getting is the view and a place to sleep. I hadn't booked a room with an outdoor hot spring, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the bathroom, nor a large public bath. For this price, I really think there should be a tub. For meals, sukiyaki was the only option, so thankfully I'd bought some ready-to-eat meals at 7-Eleven. The view was good though.

SShanghaiqianqianThis hotel might be the best value for money by the lake. It's directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mount Fuji is right to the left, so you can enjoy beautiful views without even leaving the hotel. The breakfast buffet is incredibly rich and the hotel service is excellent. Highly recommended!

TThe Lost Forest MumWe truly wished we could have stayed longer. We initially booked Kawaguchiko Country Cottage Ban because of its convenient location near the Maple Leaves Festival area, but the stay turned out to be far better than we expected, and we truly wished we could have stayed longer. The cottages are peaceful, spacious, and surrounded by fresh air, a perfect retreat after exploring Kawaguchiko. The house is huge, complete with a small kitchen, washroom and toilet, a cosy tatami room, and a bedroom with four single beds. It felt like a private holiday home with plenty of space for families. Parking is extremely convenient, you can park your car right at the doorstep. A playground and a paid laundry area are also located just outside, which is very useful for families and longer stays. At the registration building, a vending machine offering hot drinks and cigarettes adds extra convenience, especially early in the morning. We loved the breakfast delivered right to our doorstep, the freshly made bread was warm and soft, and the hot soup was flavourful. We also bought hot coffee from the vending machine as an extra treat. The property provides onsen facilities, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Our cottage balcony offered an unobstructed sunrise view, and watching the morning light rise over the landscape was one of the most memorable moments of our stay. A spacious and peaceful cottage stay with doorstep parking, playground, onsen, vending machines, breakfast delivery, and the perfect location for autumn maple events . We truly wished we could stay longer. 🏡🍁🌅🗻✨

AAuroraBorealisMiracleThe hotel deserves an excellent mark. The hotel is situated just a 10-minute walk from the main train and bus station. Besides this, the hotel offers a free transfer service (check the schedule first), which is also very nice. The hotel looks very clean and fresh. If you are lucky enough, you'll get a nice view of Mt. Fuji just from your room window. What I liked the most is the Japanese spa, which is included in the accommodation package. It has different types of warm pools, including several outside the building. Please observe the admittance rules before going to the spa (e.g., no tattoos, etc.). The room was quite spacious, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Additionally, I would like to point out the catering. The dinner was tremendous—a really vast and versatile selection of different foods, starting from sashimi and other seafood to various types of meat, along with high-quality alcohol. My stay at this hotel was really great. I definitely recommend this hotel.

AAnonymous UserI love everything here, the room, the view from the room, the onsen and the dinner set. Just a couple of small things. When I asked if we could use the hotel bicycles, the front says it’s not for guests. However, I did saw a couple of tourists ride them the next day. One thing I think could be improved is, door lock is still using key. Would be better if changed to keycard.

NNaqueyaFor some reason I was not sent a QR Code to my email to check in. I was sent a pin number which was not necessary or utilized. We arrived at the villa several hours early and called to see if we could check in early, they apparently have a strict after 3pm check-in. We found a place and paid to store our luggage and then came back to the villa at 3pm. Again, still had not received the QR Code. Called again, was hung up on. Called back, was told it would take 10 minutes. Called back and was asked for my email, was put on hold then was asked for my email again (which was already provided at booking). Then was asked to send them an email, they didn't get it and then was asked to send to personal icloud email. They finally found my email and sent the QR Code to me at close to 4pm which was an hour after check-in and we had to stand out in the sun the entire time. This was so frustrating and ridiculous. My email address was in the reservation, why it took so long is crazy. The process needs to be updated so this doesn't happen to other people. There was a huge spider above the TV in the corner, we got rid of it but it was creepy. The view from the villa was great! The beds were nice! Loved the double showers! The body sponges are so clever and left our skin feeling smoothe! The clothes drying was very innovative and did work effectively, needed to turn the heater on twice to get the clothes dry. Towel rack on the wall was broken on the right side, the rod wouldn't stay in. The one pot in the kitchen was burnt on the bottom inside, we tried to clean it to use it but could not. We did use the grill to make dinner and it was a wonderful touch!

Ssiufungjeh🌸 Hotel Mifujien – A Front Row Seat to Mt. Fuji’s Majesty If you’re looking for unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji, look no further than Hotel Mifujien. Nestled right beside Lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel offers one of the most photogenic and soul-soothing panoramas of Japan’s most iconic peak. 🗻 The View: Absolutely Breathtaking The highlight of our stay was the view — and it’s no exaggeration. Whether it’s early morning when the summit catches the first rays of sunlight, or during a serene sunset, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji reflected in Lake Kawaguchiko is simply unforgettable. I woke up early just to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise, and it was worth every second of lost sleep. We also filmed a sunset time-lapse, and again, Fuji didn’t disappoint. ⸻ 🚶♂️ Getting There: Worth the Scenic Walk Although the hotel offers a shuttle bus pickup service, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station — and it was a delightful decision. The 20–30 minute stroll is scenic and peaceful. We even stopped by a local supermarket for some ice cream while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It was an experience that made us feel like locals soaking in a perfect day. ⸻ 🛏 Tatami Rooms: Authentic and Comfortable The tatami-style room was clean, spacious, and gave us a deeply authentic Japanese lodging experience. Sliding doors, futon beds, and traditional touches made our stay both relaxing and culturally immersive. ⸻ ♨️ Hot Springs: Cozy, Not Crowded The hotel features both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs). While not particularly large, they are a nice bonus to unwind after a day of exploring. Since they only accommodate a few people at a time, it’s best to avoid peak hours. ⸻ 🍱 Meals: Included and Delicious Our stay included both breakfast and dinner, and the food was outstanding. A beautifully arranged kaiseki-style dinner showcased seasonal ingredients, fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and hot pots. Breakfast was equally satisfying with a variety of small dishes and a perfectly cooked grilled fish. Everything was crafted with care and served with hospitality. ⸻ 📝 Suggestions: • Bring a tripod if you’re planning to do photography or time-lapses — the view is too good not to capture properly. • Try both the indoor and outdoor onsen during quiet hours to fully enjoy the experience. • Use the shuttle service if you’re carrying large luggage, as the walk (while scenic) do take around 30 minutes. ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10 Hotel Mifujien is all about the view — and it delivers. Combine that with great meals, clean traditional rooms, and hot springs, and you have the perfect base to enjoy Mt. Fuji in all its glory.
