Pretty good, although the room was a bit cramped, but that's a common issue. Being right in the city center was super convenient for shopping and dining. As a new hotel, there were no strange odors. The sea view from the lobby lounge area was also excellent!

Gate Hotel boasts a fantastic location in Fukuoka's Tenjin shopping district. It's within a 10-minute walk of Parco, Iwataya, Mitsukoshi, Nishitetsu, Bic Camera, Loft, and Daimaru Department Store. Plus, there's a drugstore on B1 and the subway airport line on B2, making transportation incredibly convenient, even for getting to Hakata. The rooms are quite new and the facilities are fine, though they are a bit small; a 28-inch suitcase can't fully open in the aisle. The hotel offers afternoon tea starting at 2 PM on the 18th floor, with drinks like coffee and matcha, and snacks such as mentaiko senbei (shrimp crackers) and cakes. The view is excellent and very photogenic, offering a panoramic look at Fukuoka's architecture. All in all, it offers good value for money and is perfect for anyone exploring Fukuoka.

Really lovely location - right on top of the subway, connecting to the underground shopping district, everything at your fingertips. Don't forget to check out the lounge for an amazing city view. A lovely place to stay when you are in Tenjin!

Excellent location with the subway train exit/ entrance in basement and about 15 mins to/ from airport. Many shopping centers, restaurants, supermarkets and shops outside hotel and within walking distance. The hotel is quite new with many modern amenities. I particularly like the various USB charging outlets available with multi head cable provided. My stay was actually superbly comfortable. A writing table was even available with a plush office type reclining chair-a very nice surprise. Room is of decent size and very clean. I asked for a quiet room and I got a good quiet room. I took breakfasts - semi buffet at the Anchor Grill restaurant. The Japanese bento was excellent, though the menu was the same for the 5 mornings I were there. I am however very impressed with the staff in the restaurant, super efficient and courteous with ready warm smiles to greet guests. However, I cannot say the same for the hotel staff at the reception during check-in and check-out. Overall, an excellent hotel to stay in.
