ANA Crowne Plaza FUKUOKA by IHG

This is a great hotel, conveniently located near Hakata Station. The staff are all very friendly and the breakfast is good. The price is quite reasonable. I would definitely consider staying here again. It would be even better if the room air conditioning allowed for temperature adjustment.

The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from Hakata Station. It's an older property, but well-maintained and very clean. It feels like all Crowne Plaza hotels in Japan have the same decor and look. There are several supermarkets and drugstores nearby, which is convenient for shopping. For dining, there are many options downstairs at Hakata Station, as well as in the Hankyu, AMU, and KITTE buildings next to the station. The room isn't huge, and the lighting is a bit dim. It was smaller than the room I stayed in for the past few days, and not as close to the station. However, the service at Crowne Plaza was better. I guess it just depends on individual preferences.

Facilities: Though a bit dated, it still maintains the Crowne Plaza standard. And even without USB ports (or maybe I just couldn't find them), they provided a multi-port charging cable that solved the problem of charging my phone, iPad, etc. Cleanliness: Maintained the expected standard. Ambiance: Located within the Hakata Station commercial area, it's convenient and respectable for business meetings. Service: Beyond the typical Japanese politeness, the staff was also very attentive and thoughtful. During my stay, it rained for several consecutive days. Although the hotel didn't offer umbrellas for guests when I booked (or so I thought), surprisingly, there were umbrellas available for rent at the main entrance, which had to be returned. The gym was quite well-equipped, except for barbells. What's particularly noteworthy is the 'belly-shaking machine' – a belt that you wear around your waist which vibrates to burn fat when turned on. It felt great! I used it for 40 minutes straight on my second night. The breakfast buffet was also very generous. This hotel feels just like other Crowne Plaza hotels in Shanghai, New York, Amsterdam, etc. I'll definitely choose this one again next time I visit Fukuoka.

Its location near Fukuoka Station offers excellent transport links, making it easy to get anywhere. There are also plenty of large shopping malls, supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants in the vicinity. Staying at the ANA Crowne Plaza is simply convenient.
