Heiwadai Hotel Tenjin Reviews

The hotel was decent, and breakfast was served from 7 to 9 AM in traditional Japanese style. The room was clean, and the hotel is conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from the city center. Guests also have free access to the hotel's sauna.

I was looking for a budget-friendly hotel and found this one, staying for 5 nights and 6 days. The location was absolutely perfect – it was a short walk to Tenjin city center, which I really appreciated. Having a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart right near the hotel was also a big plus. Reviews mentioned the rooms were small, and I wondered how small they could be, but it genuinely was the smallest room I've ever had on a trip to Japan 😂. Despite that, I'd probably come back here if I visit Fukuoka again! I highly recommend it for solo travelers! The hotel key is a physical key, and you have to leave it at the front desk when you go out. But on the bright side, if it were a card key, you wouldn't be able to use electricity when you're out, right? Here, I could leave my devices charging and go out, and the power stayed on, which was great! I also saw reviews about poor soundproofing, but I didn't notice any issues with that. One thing to be careful about is that if you open the window, it connects to a corridor-style hallway.

Pretty small room but all facilities are enough for a one night stay.

The location is around the silent part of tenjin. No nearby bars or cafes. Breakfast is the same every morning. They have free water. You can either choose to clean your room everyday or change towels every day. Just choose one. You cannot have both. Staff are friendly. Room is spacious enough.

The hotel was conveniently located near both bus and train stations. Although the hotel isn't new, the 24-hour front desk service was a plus. We had to hand over our key when we left, which meant no worries about losing it, though it seemed like most guests didn't bother to leave their keys. The front desk staff I interacted with were all kind and helpful, quickly answering any questions I had, which made my first visit to Fukuoka very enjoyable! There were also convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so I never had any trouble finding what I needed. They even lent me an umbrella when it suddenly rained, which was a huge help! I'd definitely like to stay here again. Thank you!

I really enjoyed staying in Heiwadai Hotel Tenjin,I will choose here to stay again next time when I travel to Fukuoka :)

It was an okay experience staying here. The basic amenities were provided upon check in, and towels were changed on our second night.

Prime downtown location steps from shopping and dining. Staff were courteous and efficient. Rooms spacious, quiet, with minimalist Japanese-inspired decor. Enjoyed the rooftop garden and soothing onsen-style baths(Paid). Seamless blend of convenience and tranquility—perfect for business or leisure. A polished, hassle-free stay!
