Hotel New Otani Hakata

I stayed here for the last two nights of my Kyushu trip. The room had a massage chair, which was a huge relief after a week of driving. The hotel is a bit older, but that wasn't a big issue for me. It's close to the subway, the rooms are spacious, and the service is great. Overall, it offers good value for money.

Clean, quiet, and tidy. Very close to the subway station. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right outside, as well as another old-school grocery store. The room was cleaned daily (typical of an older 5-star hotel). The air conditioning/heating system worked very well. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk.

Not recommended. The main reason is the inconvenient location. It's about a kilometer walk to the Tenjin area, and the subway station is in an awkward spot. Even if you take the train one stop to Tenjin-Minami, you still have a walk afterwards. I'd suggest staying closer to Tenjin, even if it means sacrificing a bit of space; proximity is better. Cleanliness: Average. They didn't even clean up the previous guest's cotton swabs. Service: Pretty good. The hotel overall is quite old and doesn't even have a swimming pool. I don't think it's worth the price. Other than being a bit more spacious and having room for a suitcase, I don't see much else that's great about it.

The service was excellent👍. The staff helped carry our luggage to the room. The hotel's surroundings are nice, the lobby is beautiful, and the view from the window is great. It's also conveniently located. However, the facilities are a bit old. The bathroom floor stays wet for a long time, and there's a sewage smell from the drain.

The hotel facilities are great, and the front desk staff are highly professional. It definitely lives up to its five-star rating. You can also enjoy beautiful city views from across the street, and the 11 AM checkout is very convenient.

The hotel is a bit old, but it's very clean, and the service is top-notch. The location is excellent too, right above a subway station, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. For breakfast, you have two dining options: a Western-style one and a Japanese one, both of which serve delicious food.
