Yaoji Hakata Hotel

Facilities: It's an older hotel, so the facilities are quite dated. Cleanliness: Overall good, pretty clean. Environment: Not far from JR, so it's quite convenient. Service: Very good. They allowed me to store my luggage in advance, and the staff were friendly. The best part is the free access to the sauna next door, which is a real bargain and excellent value for money.

The room was very spacious, which is rare for a Japanese hotel – we could easily fit two 28-inch suitcases. The facilities were complete; though a bit older, everything was very clean. The best part was the natural hot spring – it was clean and large, never feeling crowded even during busy times. It's a simple, no-frills bathhouse, but the natural hot spring water was impeccably clean. The hotel is also very close to Hakata Station, just a five-minute walk. I would definitely consider staying here again next time. Excellent value for money.

The location is excellent, only a 5-10 minute walk to Hakata JR Station, and it's easy to find places to eat nearby. Facilities: Pretty good. Hygiene: Very good, very clean. Environment: Great, with a natural hot spring bath. Service: The staff are also very enthusiastic.

Weekend accommodation in Fukuoka can be quite expensive, so this hotel offers great value for money. Although the room isn't huge, it's perfectly adequate for two people and has all the necessary amenities. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station and is surrounded by several convenience stores. It's also very close to the famous Dacommeca bakery. The front desk is on the second floor, while the first floor houses a public bathhouse that's open to the public for a fee. Hotel guests can enter for free with their room key. One downside is that there are only two elevators, so you often have to wait a long time.
