Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka

It wasn't as good as I'd hoped. The nearest subway entrance is by the police station, but there are no elevators to get down to the platform. The other entrance, near the Ichiran Ramen main store, is a bit far; you'll see the hotel building after crossing the bridge. The room itself was alright, but the cleanliness was just so-so. I even found long hairs from a previous guest on the bathroom wall (they weren't mine, I hadn't even washed my hair yet!). For a hotel in a popular Japanese tourist city, that's really not acceptable. The bathroom ventilation seemed mediocre; you couldn't leave the door open as it might set off the smoke alarm. The canal view from the window was nice, but I didn't have much time to enjoy it, as I was out and about most of the time. The breakfast was decent, but there wasn't much variety; it couldn't compare to the breakfast I had at the Beppu onsen hotel a few days prior. They had a sign by the entrance saying the breakfast was worth 2000 yen, which I honestly don't think it was. There was one table though, where you could look out and see a distant tower, which was quite pretty.

The single room was a bit small, but it was enough for one person, and the bathroom was quite spacious! The only problem was that once I put my suitcase down, there was no room to walk around! It was nice that smoking was allowed in the room, but what was really great was that there was no smell of smoke when I first walked in.

The hotel's location is great, right across the street from Tenjin Underground Shopping Center, with plenty of good food options nearby. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Fukuoka.

I visit Fukuoka often and this was a hotel I'd always wanted to stay in. The night view of the riverside from the room is a big plus, but the room facilities feel a bit dated. It's also quite a distance, requiring a taxi, to get to JR Hakata Station.

Located on the bustling Nakasu riverside, and within walking distance to Tenjin. I'm very satisfied with both the location and the price. The breakfast is simple, just enough to get you started. The building is a bit old, but it's perfect for a budget-friendly trip.

Super convenient location in the heart of Fukuoka! Just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, making it easy to get around and go shopping. The room offered fantastic views; opening the window revealed a beautiful river view. The environment was quiet and comfortable, making for a truly wonderful stay.

The room was spacious and the location was excellent, with a canal view from the window. The breakfast was plentiful, offering dishes like curry beef rice and udon noodles.
