Hostel Stand by ME

Hard to complain when it’s so cheap, I only needed a place to keep my things and rest before going to airport so it done it’s job. Met some good people too, maybe wouldn’t recommend for a long stay but 1 night isn’t so bad. 7pm check in is a wild one though..

It’s a great value-for-money place. It cost only 5,176JPY for two nights. The bed is fairly comfortable - a capsule like curtained one, and there’s a large, spacious common area with plenty of amenities, plus sometimes free tea and coffee—overall, a great bargain. The place is also quite clean, with easy check-in and check-out.

The hotel even provides a purified water dispenser, so you don't need to buy bottled water anymore, because there's a big bottle available.

Everything was acceptable clean. The Check In was little harder than necessary since I never got a message with my bed number.

Facilities and accommodation is overall very clean and well done, bunks and toilet are clean. The might be able to do better in getting new pillows as current ones are flat and don’t support well

Firstly, their check-in time is 7 pm, which is too late. I arrived around 1 pm to leave my luggage, and the stuff wasn't very welcoming nor helpful at all.  Secondly, the instructions for check-in and check-out procedures are not explained properly. Therefore, you will need LINE to contact them. Moreover, they don't reply very effectively. Thirdly, I don't feel safe with my belongings. There is no space for your luggage storage, so unless you have very tiny luggage, you have to leave it in the lobby without anything, which for me, doesn't feel very safe to leave my belongings in a public space. The same thing goes for your shoes in the entrance to the hostel because there is no lockers for shoes either.  Fourthly, the bedrooms are not properly cleaned, and in my bed, there was an eyelash extension from a previous visitor, and also dust. Finally, the bathrooms are shared, and have visible mold. For the toilets, there is only 1 toilet in a whole building, and so dirty that I didn't use it even once. Overall, the location is a bit far, the price isn't that low, so I would recommend somewhere with better transportation.

Location is great. Not far from Tenjin. The door to the dormitory is very noisy. It was a little smelly and the guys working there were not very friendly. The price is good and I don't regret staying there but I think next time I will stay somewhere else.

I booked this hotel by mistake and cannot contact to the property for a refund.

Nice location, clean and quiet. Only downside is check-in at 7 pm.
