Matsuriya Yuzaemon

It was a charming, old-fashioned inn. The view from the room was of abundant nature, and it seems like it would be enjoyable depending on the season.

I visited here on New Year's Eve. The food, baths, and service were all excellent. The food was explained to me carefully, so I was able to enjoy it at my leisure. There were many different types of baths, and the water was gentle and warm, just as you'd expect from Iizaka Onsen.

The staff provided meticulous explanations and attentive service when serving the meal.

The inn had a homely atmosphere and the service was attentive. We had dinner and breakfast in a private room, so we were able to relax as a family without worrying about others.

It was my first time at Iizaka Onsen, and the water was amazing! The open-air bath was also very pleasant. The food was average, but the alcohol selection was lacking. Also, I wish they'd let me drink sake in 1 go (instead of the 300 yen bottles).

The warm water of the radium hot spring is perfect for therapeutic bathing, so I was able to soak for a leisurely 30 to 40 minutes. I felt like I was slowly sweating. Unlike sulfur hot springs, it has no scent and is lukewarm, so it's safe for small children to soak in it for a long time.

It was very good!
