My stay at Muthu Raga Madeira Hotel was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, the female staff member at reception was not very friendly or welcoming. I had specifically requested a double bed during my reservation but was given two single beds in a disabled-access room, which I wasn’t happy with. When I went to reception to raise the issue, I was told a staff member would come to convert the beds into a double. However, hours passed and nothing was done until I went back again to complain. The room also had an unpleasant sewage smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. There were no basic amenities provided, no kettle, coffee, tea, or iron, which was quite surprising for a hotel of this category. Breakfast was also underwhelming, with very limited options available. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, close to attractions, restaurants, and shops, which made it convenient to get around.

The rooms were nice and spacious with nice balconies on a great location. The rooms could use a renovation and be better cleaned especially in more hidden places like under the bed. The hairdryer overheated easily. The breakfast is good and varied and the staff is the best part of the hotel, super friendly!

Good location. Bathroom was a bit stinky mainly coz there was no window and only a small exhaust fan. Rooms are alright. Staff is kind and helpful. A good experience overall.

It was nice and comfortable staying. Clean room, friendly stuff, quite neighbourhood. But you should know it’s around 30 kin from city center and kinda far from the beach. But it’s okey)

The hotel is in a good location and the sea view room which we reserved had a nice view of ocean. But, I need to mention that this hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The whole building is old and they kept it in an old fashion way. The bath is not good, they don't offer even water in daily service and neither tea. (which is expected from a four star hotel) The elevator is old and always full, really not suitable for an eleven floor building.
