Our stay at the Residence was in a studio, self-catering apartment which was perfect. It was a first visit for us but the number of returners told its own story. The apartment came with a large balcony, had lots of room and superb facilities. The room was well designed and appointed, including comfy beds and sofa. (Only soft pillows provided though!) You wanted for nothing in the well stocked kitchen area and housekeeping were totally on the ball in resupplying your daily needs. Amazing shower (and bathroom) with ample toiletries for your complete stay. You really don’t need to bring our own. A great touch was the spare men’s razor and shaving foam. We used many of the resorts facilities and access to all is made very easy. The gardens are simply wonderful and on three levels, each giving sea views. Although the lower two level are restricted to the adjoining numbered rooms. The hotel was exceptionally well run, clean and you had to admire the team Residence team running it. We only ate there twice, one evening meal and a breakfast. (There are cracking restaurants with a short stroll of the Residence) The food offered here was very nice and with a good variety, catering for almost all tastes. Breakfast came with lots of choice, was very nice, and the refillable glasses of sparkling wine a lovely surprise. The rear aspect is a peaceful haven, overlooking the beachfront. Outside the reception entrance is a good public transportation link into city. Not as a negative comment but on the western side of the Residence is a restaurant/bar playing live music nightly. Loud, possibly for some and the quality of the music occasionally is questionable! However, it seemed to conclude at 11pm, which we didn’t mind, as some of the singers were simply great! But if you like quiet nights choose a room/apartment away for this side of the hotel. Of particular note is the helpfulness of the Residence reception team. Without exception they were full of useful information, nothing was too much trouble for them and ALWAYS polite.
