Guohui Hotel

The room was spacious, and the standard room's bed was a comfortable 1.35 meters wide. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and patient. The breakfast spread was very rich.

I stayed here last year and had a pretty good experience, so I specifically chose to come back again this time. However, the experience wasn't as good as last year. First off, there were no discounts or room upgrades for returning guests. The wooden hangers in the closet were terrible! They were severely peeling and completely unusable. Luckily, there was a simple rack with some plastic hangers. The shower door was also a major letdown; water leaked all over the bathroom floor from the bottom left corner every time we showered. I called housekeeping, and an attendant came to mop and replace the bathmat, but the same thing happened after my family showered. We had to block the area with a pile of towels the next day to prevent water from overflowing everywhere! The staff at the breakfast noodle station also had a very stiff demeanor; it definitely didn't meet a five-star service standard.

My takeout was already downstairs, but when I called, they said it wasn't there. I had to go down myself to pick it up from their designated delivery spot. Also, a heads-up to visitors from out of town: don't bother with the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall dish here; it's not good.
