Booked 4 nights in March 2026 to receive the Konigs card. We were booked into Room 10 on the 2nd floor, an absolute gem of a room that had a large sitting area with table and chairs, TV with a view over the lake and towards the mountains. There was a large balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the view. The room had a small kitchen with a microwave, toaster , kettle, and hob but no oven. We opted for the breakfast offering which was adequate with bread rolls, jams, cheese, cereals, cold meats and great coffee and tea. The new hosts were very friendly. There is one drawback to the location of this guest house however, the bus, Line 71, is very erratic and some busses don't even arrive and the service stops operating early evening so no chance of going into Fussen for a bite to eat in the evenings. The Saturday service is even worse and we were forced to walk back to the guest house from the Fussen train station that took 2 hours ! We suggest arriving by car as a taxi is almost Euro25 per trip. Our Konigs card was also a bit of a hit and miss with only 2 cable cars available to use during our stay and, when trying to use the card at one of the cable car stations , we were told it had not been activated ! The card did however work on the trains and busses. All in all a great accommodation if you can overcome the transport issue.
