Madison House

Very convenient location - just a minute or two walk from the train station. Room was clean, facilities were reasonable for the price. The issue we did have though was not receiving any check-in details prior to arriving in the evening. While trying to check in, a few groups managed to check in - having received earlier that day an email from the accommodation. For whatever reason, we didn't get ours. After a number of messages/calls and seeking assistance from the hotel across the road, we managed to finally receive comms from the accommodation in order to gain entry. While the individual from Madison House was adamant they sent the email, they weren't able to provide proof of this upon request...

What you see is what you get. Room was nice and had nice amenities. Bathroom was a little weird as sink was in the way of the door so it would open all the way. Lift doesn’t go to top floor and acts a little wierd when more than two people in it. Street noise is kind of a pain as well in the early morning hours. Overall got what we expected/paid for.

Even though it was like a secret code to get through several doors the room was wonderful and the best night’s sleep I’ve had on my weeklong trip through Southern Ireland.

Perfectly fine, safe place to stay. Bathroom was a bit small, but the fixtures were clean and modern. The location was hard to beat. The entryway from the is not obvious

Fantastic location, easy to walk to many sites in Galway. The room was clean and comfortable, and the host very responsive. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Great location in the heart of the city square, only a few minutes away from the bus stop. Our room was good and check in via lockbox was seamless. The only complaint is that since there’s no reception or lobby, we had nowhere to leave our bags since we arrived early due to the bus schedule, and check in was later in the day. Luckily our room ended up being ready sooner and we only had to carry our bags around for an hour, but travellers coming earlier in the day should take this into consideration. I wish we knew this before we arrived!
