River Edge Inn

Surprisingly pleasant stay. Check in went well, and the room was updated. Pillows, and mattress was very comfortable. The only con is the toilet was too low for my style.

This place had SO much potential, but little by little, it proved to be a hotel I cannot recommend in good conscience. I booked a ‘Honeymoon Suite’ for my wife and I, from the date of January 21st to January 25th. The receptionist that checked us in was friendly, but was facing the dilemma of deciding which room to put my wife and me in, because a water line had burst the previous night, causing the cold water to shut off completely for the first couple days of our stay. The receptionist (at the time of my check-in), was likely also a/the manager, and she offered to switch our room out for another. I declined, however, due to the fact that none of the available, vacant rooms had jetted jacuzzi tubs in them, and the jetted tub was one of the biggest features which drew me into booking the room. We ended up staying in the original room (with the temporarily broken water line), and the manager told me it would be no issue to appropriately partially refund our money, or compensate us for the many issues we experienced, monetarily.

Pleased with stay! Great service and quick to respond to any questions. Remodel in progress. Some noise but not bad. Also internet was also upgrading and smart TV didn’t have options.

They are doing a great job with the improvements they are making, especially the walk-in showers and bathroom. Room was very clean and at a great location, there is a tram stop right next to the hotel and the Hotel itself is in a great location.

Lovely clean room. Great position for town, everything in walkable distance. Basic grab and go breakfast Would recommend

Parking convenient & safe. Elevator on premises. Property undergoing renovations. Rooms a mix of modern & vintage style. Staff lovely & helpful. Breakfast is an assortment of packaged conveniences but it’s a start for coffee & a banana. Trolley stops across the road. Main Street is 2-3 minute walk. Would stay again!

Room was clean and very convenient to the strip with shopping. Half mile walk to the Anakeesta or a free trolley ride. AC in room was fantastic. Beds and pillow were comfortable. Quiet area. Lots of mirrors and vanity space in room. Would definitely stay here again. Price was on point for this location!

Room adequate. We were on the first floor overlooking the pool. It’s very unkempt to look at. The breakfast was doable but an 8-10 am window is not welcoming at all. It was dry foods and some dairy and could have been made more available. The location was a 10/10. Easy access to transportation and easily walkable to downtown Gatlinburg.

For the price this is a excellent choice. We booked the honeymoon suite and the whirlpool tub was wonderful and fun 😉. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the balcony was quaint. The fireplace was nice althought not much heat. My only complaint was the room was freezing. We even put on the heat and it didn't warm up a lot. The staff was helpful and friendly, we arrived after hours and it was seamless. The lication is wonderful, can walk so many places! We saw three bears on three separate occasions really close to the hotel. Parking was ample, we never had a issue getting a spot. I would stay again for sure!
