I have stayed in this place before, I did not think that I would face such a negative situation, I paid for two days. On the first day, there was road fatigue. We could not sleep on the room given to us during the night because of the noise like the ceiling is collapsing. We informed the officer about this situation, as per our plan, we are out of the city, the manager called us and asked for your room. let's change but we have to empty the things, we didn't let anyone else interfere with our personal belongings, the manager said there is nothing to be done, I have to give all the rooms, it was not possible to sleep for a second because of the noise coming from the upstairs room on the second day, we went to another hotel at 22:00. For us this was the best hotel in Eastern Turkey. A beautiful converted building, a fantastic courtyard, lavish breakfast and the friendliest staff imaginable. Fully recommended!

The family and staff who manage Ali Bey Konagi are most hospitable, lovely people whose only wish is to make your stay a most comfortable and memorable experience. Many things to enjoy: everthing is clean and fresh, the breakfast is an amazing spread of jams, cheeses, olives, breads, the trees and birds in the courtyard, in fact the enclosure offers a calm and cool respite from the bustling markets outside. Perfect location as well. We highly recommend Ali Bey Konagi!

Opposite the Castle in the old town this securely locked enclave is reminiscent of the Moroccan"riads". Inside a walled courtyard are tables and sitting areas; rooms are around it and also over the street in another building. Being there is a slight problem as you need to be let in in both directions - although response to a bell is immediate from the friendly staff. Rooms are all different and our party had mixed experiences. Lots of "museum pieces" in the rooms and public areas. Breakfast is fixed for all at 0830 - and is excellent.

We throughly enjoyed our stay and should have extended for one more night to see more of the city. Staff was the friendliest, most helpful you can imagine, anticipating every need. Book the upstairs rooms if you can. It is worth the difference for the authentic "konak" experience. Lovely location right below the castle, and walkable to the markets but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Felt like a hidden gem! Will definitely go back.

I simply loved everything at this hotel. The staff were incredibly amazing. The breakfast was beyond delicious. The design and architecture of the building made me feel that I went back 100 years ago. Highly recommend this place.

Friendly staff! Good breakfast! But… Don’t look for comfort, amenities you may find at other hotels. No nightstands, poorly airconditioned, very run down bathroom. Toilet seat fell off our first day. Shower tiles broken. One wall of the shower was plywood that was moldy.

Öncelikle kaldığımız oda yeteri kadar temiz ve konforluydu hiçbiri sıkıntı yaşamadık sadece çatı katında olduğumuz ıcin fazla sıcaktı klimayı hep acık tuttuk. Çalışanlardan Cennet Ablayı cok sevdik. Samimi oluşu, guler yüzlülüğü ile bizi karşıladı o yuzden kendisini de cok sevdik. Kahvaltılar da guzeldi normaldi yani. Bahçesi güzeldi cardaklari olan bir bahceye sahipti. Merkezi konumda olmasi ulasim rahatligi acısından cok iyiydi.
