In August 2023, we booked 1 night during our business trip to Europe and an additional night on our return. Pleasant hotel, nice location, very nice park, the bar service during the second night was very pleasant, I would say perfect. Unfortunately, a simple problem ruined this review which could have been absolutely positive. Upon returning, we explained that we had a return flight to Vietnam for my Deputy Manager, asking to check out at 12 as in all the hotels we use in the world, including. Italy. We were refused. We were forced to pay €30 extra to stay 2 hours longer. We consider this fact to be negative, absolutely unusual, never having occurred previously, even though the staff confirmed to us that it had happened to them many times. Frankly speaking, we have had a company in Italy for 48 years, 1 company in Vietnam for 32 years and one in China for 28. So as you can imagine we travel a lot, not just in these countries. We are producers and distributors of frozen fish products throughout Europe, we guarantee that we have stayed in hundreds of hotels, it is the first time that we have been asked for a similar payment for a 2 hour stay. Normally we are allowed, always kindly, to stay until 1pm - 2pm in many facilities. Furthermore, the structure is a legacy to the Church, so there should be a greater need for greater attention on the part of "Catholics" to cases of particular needs, without always expecting a disproportionate extra profit. It's a shame, Villa Cagnola is a nice place, I advise the management to review something. Mauro C.
