Zweckmäßig ausgestattetes Zimmer mit 80er-Jahre-Flair für Monteure. Die Handtücher hatten einige große Löcher, die Matratze war durchgelegen, so dass man nach rechts kippt. An einer Wand blättert Farbe ab und die Tapete am kleinen Schreibtisch löst sich. Hier wurde gefühlt seit Jahrzehnten nichts mehr grundlegend renoviert. Warum auch, Gehrden ist eine Schlafstadt und kein Touristenmagnet.

Wer gut Treppen steigen kann und mit einem modernen, einfach ausgestatteten Zimmer zum kleinen Preis zufrieden ist, kann hier nichts falsch machen. Natürlich ist das alte Fachwerkhaus renovierungsbedürftig, aber in Corona-Zeiten konnten viele Hoteliers keine Rücklagen bilden. Im Sommer kann man sehr gut draußen vorm Haus sitzen und wird schnell und freundlich bedient. Zur Fußball-EM gab es einen Außenfernseher. Mit anderen Gästen kommt, wer mag, schnell ins Gespräch. Die Coronaregeln wurden gut befolgt. Beim nächsten Besuch in Gehrden werde ich wieder hier wohnen.
