Fat Lips Surf Lodge

I am happy to recommend Fat Lips Surf Lodge as a great place to stay in Siargao. The location is excellent—situated along Tourism Road in General Luna and conveniently close to popular spots such as AFAM Bridge (Catangnan Bridge), Catangnan BBQ, Shaka Café, and Cloud 9. It is also within easy reach of many of Siargao’s well-known restaurants, cafés, and tourist attractions. The place itself is cozy, aesthetic, and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a relaxing tropical atmosphere. The rooms are air-conditioned, and I was especially impressed by how clean and fresh the sheets and linens were. Having a private balcony overlooking the greenery was a wonderful bonus. Everything about the stay was smooth, hassle-free, and well-organized. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen, which is very convenient if you prefer to prepare or cook your own meals. One thoughtful touch that stood out was that they provide a coffee press along with freshly ground coffee beans for guests to enjoy—perfect for starting the day in a peaceful setting. Most importantly, the host was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and responsive throughout my stay, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Fat Lips Surf Lodge offers great value, comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siargao.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, there was already a staff member waiting for me with a tuk-tuk to pick me up. The hotel is located inside a small street, and I saw other travelers walking with heavy luggage, trying to find their hotels. I felt so lucky that I booked this place because they made everything so easy from the very beginning. That thoughtful service made me feel like they truly care about their guests. It wasn’t just about providing a room—it was about making sure I felt welcomed and comfortable from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. I also want to give a special thank you to Julius and Apple. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for making my trip so memorable. I will definitely stay here again!

Amazing accommodation! And great staff! Just be aware that two dogs live there, so if you are a little bit afraid of dogs like me, you should not be back too late bc I felt like they are more active and bark more at night

Tim and Julius were great hosts, everything was perfect. The room was very clean and all the details were well taken care of. The location is excellent, close to Cloud 9 and the Sunset Bridge, with plenty of restaurants nearby

Do not recommend. Poor experience, attitude and lack of accountability. They do not adhere to their cancellation policy, which purportedly offers a full refund when cancelled 3 days before arriving. They tried to charge me almost 12% for a stay over two months away. Sadly just another example of a business that tries to squeeze every penny out of tourists. For some reason they refused to refund me through the original transaction, instead deciding to create a new transaction and incur extra fees, while charging me the original fee twice. Communication overall was also very difficult. Dozens of emails were exchanged trying to cancel one of my two bookings.
