Would have been top marks if not for the smell from dirty cushion covers and filthy bedspread that permeate the otherwise spotless room

A small budget hotel in perfect location in Genoa, close to the central station and the old town. No luxury, but the rooms are nice and clean.

Do not book this hotel. Stay away. I was left without a hotel room at 9pm stranded. I had two confirmations from ******* regarding my booking. One being a text confirmation the other an email. When I showed up to check in, the woman at the front desk said it’s canceled. I showed her my confirmation, she said that’s between you and the booking agency. I showed her both confirmations, she began screaming at me to speak Italian I’m in Italy. The entire city of Genoa was booked and I was left with no hotel room. I contacted ******* and they informed me it was a confirmed booking and the hotel was to collect the payment in local currency. The hotel decided since it didn’t receive a credit card payment in advance to give my confirmed room away another person. This hotel should be taken off as an option on ******* as they could do this again to another person.

Central, close to the railway station. Standard is not high, but you have everything you need. Clean. A bit noisy from the street.

Albergo essenziale senza fronzoli e salamelecchi inutili. Personale molto cortese e massima pulizia ovunque. Bagno di ottima grandezza, unica pecca la mancanza di un armadietto. Colazione a buffet in hotel con prezzo a parte, anche questa essenziale ma più che sufficiente (peccato la mancanza della focaccia). Si trova su via Balbi e pertanto a due passi dalla stazione FS di Piazza Principe e dal Porto Antico; quindi adattissimo per visitare le bellezze di Genova vista dal mare. Si raggiungono facilmente le zone più ambite del porto: Acquario (notissimo in tutta Europa), Galata (Museo del mare veramente da non perdere per le sue particolarità come modelli di navi antiche perfetti ed anche navi a grandezza naturale visitabili nonchè tutta una serie di notizie aventi come soggetto il mare), il sottomarino Nazario Sauro ormeggiato nello specchio antistante il Galata e visitabile, il galeone Neptune ancorato e visitabile, protagonista del film "Pirati" di Polanski, battelli che effettuano giornalmente gite in mare per visitare i dintorni ed anche per avvistamento cetacei. Si tratta insomma di un punto centrale per la visita di Genova e del suo storico mare.

Hotel 3 stelle in ottima posizione vicino alla stazione, la camera semplice ma ben tenuta, alla reception buona accoglienza. Lo consiglio a chi si muove con i treni. Consiglio anche la bella passeggiata Anita Garibaldi per godere della bellezza del lungomare

La posizione è perfetta per visitare l'acquario di Genova, si trova tra la stazione Principe e l'acquario. Fanno servizio deposito bagagli e questo è il vero valore aggiunto rispetto alle altre strutture private nella stessa zona.
