The check-in process was complicated and inconvenient, especially for those without WhatsApp. I had to wait outside in the scorching heat, asking online for the access code after I'd already arrived at the door. The toilet and shower were combined, and there was a terrible sewer smell. The cabinet inside was very dirty; I had to wipe it down myself. I killed two mosquitoes in my capsule. The air conditioning couldn't be adjusted and was freezing cold. It was scorching outside, but inside it was so cold it felt like you could easily catch a cold. My throat felt uncomfortable, and I heard others coughing. I really don't understand if they're trying to make people sick with the cold! The bedding is supposed to be changed for each guest, but I don't know why the bed still looked a bit dirty; I even took pictures. Aside from sleeping and showering, there's practically no common area for activities. The other travelers I met were unhygienic, eating inside the room. One of them claimed there were mice, though I didn't see any. This was a very unpleasant stay, and I do not recommend it! I regret booking this place. Ctrip's prices for hotels in Penang offer no value for money compared to other apps. I'm very disappointed with the price for this kind of hostel. There are much better accommodation options nearby.

Overall, it's clean and cool. The only downside is that the entrance is hard to find, and you need to contact customer service in advance to get the key. I stayed in a lower bunk, and there were always tiny ants crawling inside the capsule.
