Spend a night here, except the room was a bit damp and the TV line connecting issued, otherwise were acceptable

I am just wondering how trip.com can rate the hotel at 8.1 score. The hotel is very old and there are a lot of the problem in the hotel room. For example, the wall is damaged due to water leakage, the the shower pipe broken. The room is not going to be cleaned before I enter. For example, the glass for tooth brushing is dirty and I believe it is the tooth paste leaving by the previous customer. The toilet has few long hair in black which my hair is short and white. Definitely, the hotel did not clean the room thoroughly. The air conditioner need a long time to cool the room down. The WiFi drop for many times that I cannot rely on it for messaging and emails. The TV is another unbelievable item I can see. For each time when the TV is turned off, it will to spend 10 min to search for the channels again by going through a complication procedures. It trains me to become a TV engineer!! Althought from the introduction, it said the hotel is nearby the Komtar but nearby the hotel has nothing and it is not bustling.

Interior is quite old and need refurbishing. The toilet was leaky and made the dripping sound the whole time.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, it’s quite close to George Town and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s 30 min drive from the airport. Everything else is horrendous. From the start I was being overcharged by them sone governmental tax and more than RM50 for the heritage fee. When I booked the suite on trip.com, I read it carefully that I only need to pay RM10 for the heritage fee and give RM 100 as deposit. I asked their manager to come and meet me, he never showed up, I contacted service agent on trip.com and I was told that everything is going to be refunded to me since none of those descriptions were known by them. However, the receptionist at the same time told me that I don’t need to pay the rest of the fee, only what I mentioned to them initially. Afterwards, in my room already, the wifi is a problem it just does not work properly, they have no service phone in the room (in case I need something to be fixed or else to communicate with them) or a fridge. The towels were in horrible condition, the small pillowed were extremely dirty, the jacuzzi was not working, I was told to use it as a bathtub. Thus, you already get a great idea of the conditions there. So think twice before booking a room with them.

good good good I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room was spacious, cozy, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and I had a very good night’s sleep.

The price was affordable, and the location was excellent. Most attractions and restaurants were within a 10-minute walk. However, the room cleanliness could be improved, and the hotel feels quite old and in need of renovation. Although it was advertised as having a city view, the window was permanently sealed and couldn't be opened. Parking is limited, with only four spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fortunately, there are paid parking lots nearby, so it wasn't a major issue.

The rooms are quite nice, worth the money paid for and I really enjoyed the bath tub. However, since I'm there to do a little work, there was no proper desk or work table. However, the staff was very obliging and got me a box as requested so that I can use the little low table (actually meant for luggage bag) so that I could work properly.

Short Vacay, Worth It Spent one night at Apple Hotel Time Square, Jalan Kampung Jawa Baru for a short Penang vacay, and honestly, it was a pleasant stay. The price was surprisingly affordable compared to the room size and comfy bed. The receptionist was also very friendly and even asked if there was anything they could improve in the room, which was a nice touch. Frankly, we’ve never really stayed on this side of Penang before, but everything was still nearby and convenient. Simple stay, good comfort, and definitely value for money.

My overall experience staying at this hotel was extremely satisfying. The hotel environment is clean and comfortable, the lobby design is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and bright. The hygiene was good, and the bed was soft and cozy, allowing for a truly relaxing rest. The hotel staff were friendly and enthusiastic, making check-in and check-out swift, and they were always happy to help, making guests feel right at home. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, including Wi-Fi, parking, and other public amenities, all of which met my needs during the stay. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious food, catering to different guests' tastes. The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to transportation, and there are restaurants and shops nearby, making getting around very easy. Overall, the hotel's service quality, accommodation environment, and facilities all met a satisfactory standard. It offers great value for money and is highly suitable for business trips, family vacations, or short getaways. If I have the opportunity to visit again in the future, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again and would also recommend it to my friends and family.

The room was nice&spacious. No minibar&there's only 2 suis.Btw, the sink is outside toilet. However, the cleanliness in the toilet was average. Please check. Parking limited.

The price is affordable, and you can walk to Mural Street and nearby attractions. A taxi from the airport costs around 100 RMB. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly, always resolving any issues effectively. The soundproofing, however, is just okay.
