Very easy access. Gleneagles Hospital is right next door. The room is quite spacious and clean, and there are many facilities like a stove, washing machine, etc. that can be used.

I had a generally pleasant stay at Merlene Suites. The room was spacious and very well equipped, with a washing machine and even a drying rack, which is especially convenient for anyone planning a longer or multi-day stay. The air conditioning was also strong enough to keep the room comfortable throughout. However, there were some noticeable drawbacks. The furnishings and appearance of the exterior/common areas felt quite old and somewhat unappealing, which was a stark contrast to the much more modern and comfortable interior of the room. I also found cockroaches inside the drawers, which was concerning and raised some questions about the housekeeping and cleanliness standards. Overall, Merlene Suites has a lot going for it in terms of space, facilities, and practicality, particularly for longer stays, but the housekeeping and maintenance of the property could certainly be improved. NOTE: ONLY BODY WASH WERE PROVIDED, NO CONDITIONER OR TOOTHBRUSH OR HAIR WASH INCLUDED.

the room looks so old, the building wall is cracked a lot, the toilet smells bad and feels scary. the service is bad, they really strict for checkin time, even only for 5 mins before, even the room is ready. the amenitities is limited, but the towel smells reallu bad and not hygine at all.

Nothing to enjoy at this place …. Asking to pay RM 96 for tax, i check trip only pay 16RM And i ask again after check out than they refund the RM80 … arrive around 5 pm … No hot water and have to wait tom to fix , the next morning suddenly no water at all , i ask the reception they say wait until 2 pm to fix OMG im so angry no shower for 2 days …. Better not stay at this place… the bathroom smell not good,, molding everywhere .. the place is not clean … if you are ocd persen better not stay here

The location is good, easy access to anywhere. With the rate they offer, I know we can’t ask for much. But do avoid this hotel if you want a clean toilet. The toilet ceiling already mould until got holes and is like will fall anytime. The unit also require more safety precautions, the lock can be easily broke it and can go in to unit. Inside unit also there is no double lock to protect ppl inside.

Wonderful stay for family of 6. Free parking, fully furnished, aircond, wifi, friendly front office, very reasonable price.

Great location and easy access. Next to Glenagles hospital which is the main purpose of visiting Penand thus time. Close to lots of places, Gurney, Macallister, Burma and others. Amazing view of Penang city and the sea. Rooms are big and clean. The service is cleaning the apartment regularly. Definitely will come again next time.

Everything was good, except the roof in the toilet there is a hole n almost broke.. And thw towel smells very bad... its like that not good enough dry

The service was okay and fair for the price. However, room 153A was a bit noisy at night due to its proximity to the AC units, specifically the outdoor units of the adjacent and upstairs rooms.

The air-conditioned is noise and not cold at all. Also leaking water all over the floor. About the ceiling in the toilet was mold everywhere.

Many ants on the table and floor and the floor felt sticky. The place looked quite old, the pillowcases were even pilling. Cleanliness need to beimprove

Great location. But housekeeping is rare. Once every six days and if you hit weekends, they won’t come for housekeeping. If not because of the location, I won’t stay here.
