We stayed at this villa over new years.when we checked in the upstairs bathrooms smelt really bad & it is very dated, the safe digital code didn't , wish I had of left then. We celebrated new years eve & the next morning I opened our safe & counted my money ,$600 aud was missing . I asked my wife to check her money & she had $400 aud missing. There was no forced entry & it seems they didn't take all of our money hoping that we didn't notice.police were notified but were totally useless ,it was quite obvious it was the staff & they just played dumb. Even the police officer was pretending he couldn't speak English well but when we were at the police station he seemed to speak English fine whilst he was chatting up backpackers that were also reporting a stolen phone. I can't see how this place has so many good reviews, it is very out dated & I've stayed at way better places on the island for less...avoid at all costs
