We stayed here in their duplex family room for a night during our short Albania trip last December.. very beautiful room , lovely view , warm host family.. we enjoyed our stay .. a little tricky to drive the steep roads leading to it but a lot of sights to visit around , most within walking distance.

Located in the heart of Gjirokaster, this hotel alone would make the trip worth it. The rooms were breath taking, beautifully decorated that really captured the traditional Albanian feel we were looking for. Beyond the decoration the host was thoughtful, providing amenities in the room and ensuring the room was spotless. The hotel comes with a delicious breakfast and a large variety of coffee options. Whilst eating you are able to enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains. The hosts themselves were extremely friendly and welcoming, with the owner even giving us a lift to the bus station and ensuring we got on ok. We would most definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return again one day.

Beautiful and well kept property with so much ancient details from Ottoman historical times. It almost feels like you’re living in 1800’s. The host was friendly and very informative with historical events in the area. Great place if you want to visit Hoxhas house where he was born as well as other important historical homes. Breakfast was refreshing. Great views with relaxing vibes. Definitely would recommend if you are visiting Gjirokaster.

Honestly the rooms are beautiful and some have a view over the valley which is stunning. Very much feels like a historic place to stay. Hosts are lovely, very accommodating and the view at breakfast was also gorgeous. It’s a great location as it’s in the centre of the old town near the bazaar. The drive there and parking can be a bit stressful so get help from the host!

This was an absolutely gorgeous little hotel within walking distance to the bazaar and the castle. Lovely large rooms with traditional Albanian interiors such as beautiful intricate wood work, lace curtains etc. we were upgraded to a larger room and it was so lovely. Amazing breakfasts on their sun filled veranda set us up for days full of walking and sightseeing. The owners were a lovely couple who helped us with suggestions what to see and do. Can not recommend this place enough.

We loved our two nights at Boutique Hotel Musee and would give the hosts 11 out of 10 if it were possible. Our room was decorated with hand carved wooden doors, beds and ceiling and was filled with pretty ornaments. We had an Ottoman style couch wrapping around one side of our room too. Breakfasts in the picturesque courtyard filled with flowering plants were generous and freshly prepared. Our hosts were extremely charming and helpful, giving useful sight seeing and restaurant advice. They also booked bus tickets to Berat for us, and dropped us off at the bus station. The hotel was in the perfect location for ambling around the old town and visiting the fortress.

This is maybe one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed it , it has a great location , amazing traditional rooms and a lovely host couple . I wish we could have stayed for longer. We were given an upgrade into a beautiful room with a separate room for our son . If you want lovely traditional architecture. This is for you
