Unfortunately, this stay did not feel like the level of service we would expect from a Marriott hotel.
There were no major issues with cleanliness, although the bed was quite hard. The main problem was the service. Check-in took a very long time due to issues with the hotel’s system, and we were left standing with our luggage while they tried to resolve everything. On the morning of check-out, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 a.m., even though we were leaving only an hour later — which felt completely unnecessary.
The staff were not unfriendly, but rather indifferent. There was very little feeling that guests were genuinely welcomed or that the staff were happy to help.
The spa area is also very inconveniently located — you have to walk around 10 minutes to get there, which is particularly strange for something presented as part of the hotel facilities.
The Executive Lounge was probably the biggest disappointment. We have visited Executive Lounges in many other cities, and this was on a completely different level. It was basically an empty room with three bottles of wine, two types of beer, some melted ice, and a TV. Calling this an “Executive Lounge” honestly felt almost absurd and certainly not worth the additional cost.
Breakfast was quite ordinary as well. The more popular items, such as pancakes, had long queues because guests had to prepare them themselves using a very slow machine. The hot breakfast was prepared by one chef, which also created a queue. Salmon was available, but disappeared almost immediately after being replenished. At this level, we would expect a much better selection and service.
Overall, while the hotel itself was clean, the experience simply did not feel like Marriott-level service. We expected something much more polished, attentive, and welcoming, and unfortunately left quite disappointed.
