The hotel has a slightly traditional contemporary homely feel to it. Receptionist could be friendlier when I was checking in, after a long day of travel. The restaurant staff, Steven was extremely helpful and warm. The room which was a suite Pol Roger was huge, however the sound and music from downstairs bled up so turning in early was not possible. Overall, a pleasant stay but would have been excellent if I had received a friendlier welcome and farewell, from the same lady receptionist.

Exceptionally comfortable and staff super helpful.  Breakfast delightful and although expensive worth it.  Only drawback is no parking!

The hotel is very good. Although the building is old, it doesn't feel old. It feels rich and historical. The murals on the corridors show the glory of the past. The bed in the suite was very comfortable, and the sofa turned into a bed for the children to sleep well. The breakfast was great. In general, Scotland was cold enough to make people feel safe and warm.

I like the service very much in a purely British hotel. I have to check out at 11 o'clock because the flight is still early. I negotiated with the hotel for a late checkout. The hotel originally said that it would charge 15 pounds for every hour of delay. Later, the hotel paid the delay fee. It’s worth recommending if you don’t need it.

It feels like a traditional British hotel. The bed is extremely comfortable. There is also a cigar room and a good selection of red wine. It is very nice and I will definitely stay here again.
