Malmaison Glasgow

We were in Glasgow for a concert. The hotel is only a short walk from the station and not far from the Hydro by taxi. The hotel staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a little tired though, with fraying carpet, old fixtures, and generally in need of a little love. The room was only £89 for the night, which seemed about right.

Nice hotel. First room allocated was a bit noisy from some sort of vibration coming from the wall but reception team was very helpful to accommodate change of room. Dined in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Service was a bit of hit and miss but food was excellent.

We went to the hotel a little earlier than check in time as we were going to the glee, managed to get checked into our room early and put our bags in and get settled before leaving. 1st time Mum and Dad so this was a much needed night away to ourselves for comedy, dinner and drinks. We arrived back to the hotel at a reasonable time and went up and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the room and enjoy the bath, well needed soak and rest. To top it all off we were both sprawled out on the king sized bed and out for the count for much needed catch up on sleep. Everything that we needed from the room was perfect and hassle free, no noise from the outside or from the bar downstairs and the leisure of an 11am check out allowed up to get up and ready at our own pace. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel.

Club deluxe room so paid extra than would for standard room, wardrobe had handle missing and have never stayed in a room with squeakier floor boards. The room (104) was on same floor as reception, so entrance to room was behind reception and the ‘window’ faced on to the roof of the bar area. The floor boards for the corridor and room next door and above seemed just as squeaky as the ones in our room. Unable to sleep due to this as the squeaking noise was constant. Have stayed here before in same room type and the difference is night and day from the last time. The room this time around was definately not 4 star and a poor excuse for a club deluxe room. Very disappointed
