The guy at the front desk was, well, meh. Quite dry and while not rude, definitely not friendly; he was basically just doing the minimum. I was driving a Tesla and there are two great complimentary chargers out front but one was blocked by a non-EV car that apparently belonged to an employee. While this is a First-World Problem, c'mon. There are a ton of other spaces for everyone to park and allow EV's to charge overnight. Front desk didn't seem to care about this.
I had never stayed in an ALoft hotel and wasn't sure what to expect. The room has a curtain separating the bathroom from the area where the beds are. So if you're going with friends who may slap you with a wet towel like in a high school locker room you may want to stay in a place that actually has a door in order to go in the bathroom. I thought this part was a little funky. Now the toilet IS in fact separate in a little nook and does have a pocket door. But if you're in the shower and the other person in the room is not your intimate partner (like your brother or your little nephew or next-door neighbor or your kid's English teacher) they can definitely sneak a peek when you're in the shower. But if you live the free lifestyle then by all means, tempt away.
