Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel

The hotel's service was exceptionally friendly. All staff greeted us with a smile and were helpful in resolving any travel issues, offering helpful suggestions. Overall, the service was the best of our trip to Spain. There's a small pool and gym in the basement, and I think there's even a sauna. The highlight is the rooftop bar on the fourth floor, with stunning views of the cathedral's rooftop on one side and the Alhambra and Albaicin on the other. A downside is that there's a resident switch in the room that automatically turns off all lights if no activity is detected for a while. If you're unfamiliar with the design, you might be surprised.

I booked the penthouse suite, and it was absolutely fantastic! It exceeded my expectations in every way. The exterior was charmingly antique, while the interior boasted all the modern amenities one could need, including an electric toilet and touch-screen controls for lighting and air conditioning. The bar and restaurant were superb; every dish was a hit. The waiter was incredibly enthusiastic when introducing the food and drinks, clearly showing his passion for his work. The service was worlds ahead of other hotels in the world. If my travel plans weren't already booked and couldn't be changed, I would have loved to stay here for a week.

A perfect hotel. The location is unbeatable; a 15-minute walk to the Gate of Justice, and easy access to the Generalife by bus. The train station is a 10-minute bus ride from right outside. Granada Cathedral is just across the street, and the San Heronimo Monastery is a 10-minute walk away. Surprisingly, one of the hotel staff members speaks Chinese, considering there aren't many Chinese tourists in Granada.
