First, it stated it was a 24-hour front desk. Second, before arriving at the hotel, I emailed them saying I would arrive after midnight. They replied that they were right next to the door and I could contact them anytime if needed. However, when I arrived at 12:01 AM, they refused to check me in. Communication with Ctrip was also ineffective, and they refused to issue a refund. I looked for several hotels nearby, but they were all full. I made several phone calls, but they were also full. I was left stranded on the street. Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!

I'm going to tell you what happened to me at this hostel because it was unbelievable. The verbal abuse was appalling, the likes of which I never thought possible in a hostel. Basically, what happens there is that the manager, to save a few euros, only turns on the heating when SHE has guests staying at the hostel. So, when my roommate asked her to turn on the heating at night (it was 0°C in the Granada winter, and we even pay for it because it's included in the room), she didn't say a word and just left. So, for the few nights I was going to stay, I took one or two unused blankets so I wouldn't freeze, since the only bedding they provide per room is a sheet and a very, very thin blanket for that winter. It's worth clarifying that I tried, myself (after my roommate's failed attempt), to ask her one last time to turn on the heating, but she simply ignored me. So, the day before I was to leave, the manager found out about the extra comforter I'd taken from another bed and started yelling at me in front of the cleaning lady, at the top of her lungs, saying she was "frightened by what I'd done" and a whole host of other things... I told her not to yell at me. She just got more worked up. She said, "Yes! I'm yelling! I'm yelling!" She was so proud of treating me like that. In the middle of her shouting, she lied and accused me of finding sheets in the bathroom, inventing a different excuse each time to never turn on the heating... that I'd moved the handle, that it was against the law to leave it on "all the time," that if she'd kicked me out of the dining room the night before (after using it for hours just for her friends) it was because it was closing time (a lie, because it was 10:30 pm and it closed at midnight). In the midst of the abuse, I went into the bathroom of the room, the only place where I could change, while the cleaning lady took care of the room. The manager followed me and banged violently on the door, demanding I come out, even if I was naked, because suddenly, she said, the cleaning lady needed to clean the bathroom. When she threatened to force her way in, I went out, and she just continued yelling for a moment longer before leaving. I felt terrible at that moment. It was my end-of-year vacation, short but full of anticipation. I was traveling alone, and I feel that made her feel she could abuse her position as manager. It ended up ruining my vacation, and, honestly, it filled me with disgust to see how she sought the approval of local politicians she was affiliated with (the only ones for whom she turned on the famous heating...), and how she put up signs around the place claiming it was "free of male violence," only to get this... feminist violence. Manipulation. Lies. Abuse. And then stupid giggles celebrating her own wickedness towards a young client, freezing to death because of her incompetence and negligence, via

Too late diría yo.
