Residence Le Point Choisy

The best hotel of my entire trip! Mauritius was the 7th country on my journey, and I'm thrilled with the island, partly thanks to staying at this wonderful hotel. The value for money is simply perfect. From the first minute, I was surrounded by attention and care; everything is so well-organized. Any question, any request is resolved instantly. It's located near two excellent beaches within walking distance. There's free underground parking, water coolers with drinking water, a delicious European breakfast with incomparable cappuccino, a cozy room, and an incredibly beautiful garden – it's a pleasure to look out from the balcony and enjoy the views. Upon request, they provide a beach bag with a towel, an umbrella, a beach chair, and even a mask and snorkel for snorkeling. Thank you for such an attitude towards tourists; you are the best. It's a shame I didn't get to say goodbye and thank you because of an early departure to see whales, and then a flight right after.

The hotel's location is pretty good. The nearest supermarket is about a 10-minute drive away, and there are also small shops nearby where you can easily grab water and other snacks.

It's quite close to the beach, and the Red Church is also decent. Self-check-in, and the parking is free.

We stayed at Residence Le Point Choisy in January-February 2026 in an apartment with a kitchen. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything guests could need. The kitchen was fully equipped, even including spices and oil. Drinking water was freely available with coolers located in the common hallway. A big plus was the breakfast, which was included in the price and served from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. There's a mini-market in the same building, but on the opposite side from the main entrance. You can buy vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meat, sweets, alcohol, and more there. The apart-hotel also has underground parking, but you need to inform the staff in advance if you require a parking space. The beautiful public beach of Mont Choisy is very close by, just a 10-15 minute walk. The owner and staff are very attentive to their guests and try their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Beach towels are provided in a special bag, which is very convenient for carrying them to the beach. You can also request beach chairs and an umbrella. But that's not all! Upon check-in, you receive a special folder with all the useful information to help you settle in with minimal fuss. We had a wonderful two weeks and hope to return to Mauritius and stay at Residence Le Point Choisy again.

The hotel is small but conveniently located. The price is also fair. Overall, it's definitely worth it for the money. The breakfast, however, is very meager, so you could skip it.

A huge thank you to Yashi! He made our stay unforgettable. He was always available, helped us book various activities, and resolved any issues very quickly. The location is quite convenient if you have a car, but walking to the beach takes about 25 minutes at a brisk pace along a road without a sidewalk. There's underground parking available. On the downside, the cleaning was pretty superficial, and the breakfast didn't change once during our 18-day stay; all the food and dishes were the same every day. I want to thank Yashi again – he truly is the best employee at this hotel. We'll definitely be back in a couple of years!
