The Market Hotel

After a wonderful mother-daughter weekend at The Market Hotel, all I can say is: what a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the Grote Markt, making everything within walking distance. The atmosphere is modern, stylish, and warm. We had booked a Deluxe Plus room with a beautiful view over the Grote Markt. Unfortunately, the bathroom light wasn't working. Of course, things like that can happen, but the way it was resolved deserves a huge compliment. Since the technical service was no longer available, we received a free upgrade to a Junior Suite. A beautiful, spacious room with a lovely bathtub, rain shower, double sink, seating area, balconies, and a mini-bar that we were allowed to use. Truly a wonderful surprise. The high tea was also excellently arranged. Everything looked beautiful, with delicious savory and sweet dishes and many products from their own bakery. In addition, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in bed. At my request, we were also allowed to check out an hour later due to availability, which was greatly appreciated. What ultimately made the biggest difference for me was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, helpful, and hospitable. You can tell that people enjoy working here and truly go the extra mile for you. I want to give a special compliment to Julian. After we had already returned home, reception contacted me because housekeeping had found a black top that I had left behind. Julian immediately arranged everything, sent a PostNL link so I could easily create a shipping label, and my package was already on its way that same evening. That's what I call service. Thanks to the entire team for the amazing hospitality and warm welcome. Thanks to you, our stay in Groningen has become extra special. We will definitely be back!

This is a very convenient hotel, located in the heart of Groningen, right across from the City Hall. It's very convenient for dining out; there's a supermarket next to the City Hall, only about 200 meters from the hotel. We actually went to the supermarket several times a day. We booked a room with breakfast included, and the breakfast was quite good for a hotel abroad. The first picture is a view from inside the hotel; that building is the City Hall. Pictures two and three show the breakfast. Very good! 👍

First-class hotel in a great location, right in the city center. The early breakfast was very good, with fresh juices, fruit, and eggs in every possible form. The hotel can only be reached by car. However, there is a parking garage nearby.

This was our fifth stay at The Market. It's fantastically located on the Grote Markt, with a lovely, large terrace in front of it. It's wonderfully bustling, both day and night. However, you don't hear any of that in the rooms. The rooms are fully equipped and very clean. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious. You can also enjoy lunch, drinks, or coffee with delicious pastries from Westen. In short, highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

The experience is quite good. The restaurant downstairs has good food. Locals like to dine here. The restaurant is also a place for breakfast in the morning. The design is also very good. The hotel is very convenient to go out, which adds a lot to my impression of Groningen.

The hotel is in a good location, just opposite the town square. The clock tower next to the coffee shop downstairs is convenient for you to go wherever you go.
