Parador de Guadalupe

Lovely hotel. Great staff. We upgraded our room and had a room with a lovely view. Definitely worth the upgrade. Easy to walk around the small old town.

Guadalupe is famous for its monastery, which started building in 1340. The Parador is just in front of monastery in the center of the village. All paradors are modest in decoration, they have same style in decoration to preserve the historical tradition of the place. However, it’s nice and comfortable inside, the only problem is noise you hear in the neighboring rooms or upstairs. The best thing in this Parador - the staff: very attentive and helpful.

Lovely hotel in main square in Guadalupe opposite the monastery. Unique character in the rooms and plenty of space. Excellent restaurant on site for dinner and really good buffet breakfasts. Pool was closed when we were there. Location is perfect ( bear in mind Guadalupe is small) but if you have walking or mobility challenges be aware you are on a hill with cobble stones. But don’t let that put you off. Would positively stay again

We travelled with a group of 30+ on a driving hotel and stayed for 1 night on a dinner bed and breakfast basis The building is truly amazing and steeped in history. It boasts great views. The town itself is small but delightful and don’t miss seeing it in the dark. Our room was very comfortable. Parking onsite is limited and access can be a little challenging. As it’s a very old building the layout of the hotel can be a little confusing and from the car park to our room we needed to take 3 separate lifts (or take the stairs) However in common with the other paradores we stayed in (6 in total) the service and food did not fully live up to the quality of the accommodation. The food was really only OK and service had a few lapses. Drinks service in the bar was generally torturous primarily down to the weak/poor till system!! Overall a very pleasant stay but maybe better to skip the food and drink and go into lovely town to eat and drink instead albeit there did not appear to be a great choice

This hotel is simply superb. Staff friendly and polite. Gardens are a delight. Our room was outstanding. Atmospheric. Lovely breakfast in beautiful surroundings. Convenient to the town. Pool area relaxing; except no loungers available for some reason !

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. We were in room number 1 and it was just perfect. The courtyard is fabulous and the gardens are lovely. The pool is fantastic and the staff are impeccable. Cool, relaxed and spotless. Would most highly recommend!!

A spectacular location with great amenities right across from the church and the monastery. Lovely little town. Went with friend who were married in the church 50 years ago so it was emotional for them.
