El Meson de Los Poetas

I absolutely loved this hotel! It's so unique, and the staff were all incredibly kind. We arrived at 6 AM, and even though check-in wasn't until 3 PM, the front desk stored our luggage and let us relax in the hotel's common areas. The rooftop terrace has a really pleasant lounge area with sun loungers and an outdoor kitchen/dining table. They even managed to get our room ready for us by 11 AM! The room wasn't huge, but it had everything we needed. After checking out, I realized I'd left my power bank in the room, and the front desk kindly kept it safe for me and arranged for it to be handed over to a fellow Chinese traveler. The breakfast was good too; I'd recommend booking a room with breakfast included.

While traveling in Guanajuato, the hotel's location was perfect, making it easy to stop in for a quick rest and then head out again. It's a shame I only stayed for two nights.

The rooms are very unique, all named after poets. The guesthouse entrance is small, but it's surprisingly spacious. There's also a fantastic terrace with a view of the vibrant colors of Guanajuato. The restaurant is beautiful, and the breakfast is delicious. Highly recommend staying here. The receptionist, an elderly lady, was incredibly friendly; I loved it!

The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located in the heart of the old town, next to Frida Kahlo's husband's museum and former residence. You can also take a taxi to the hotel entrance.
