Guangzhou Tianhe James Joyce ELITE Hotel

Given its central location, the hotel is bustling with people. The lobby is also very lively, and check-in was generally quick, with a very nice front desk staff. I signed up for a membership and got an upgrade to a spacious room with a bathtub. The view from the high floor was also great. The bedding was comfortable, but the afternoon tea (buffet style) was a bit disappointing! Although the dining hours were from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, by the time I took my child there at 3:30 PM, there was hardly anything left, not even water, and the staff didn't replenish it promptly. While the dining environment was nice, with no one cleaning up and no food being refilled, it was just... sigh. 😑 The breakfast selection was decent, and the view was good. If you drive during holidays, it's crowded, but the hotel has ample parking. The basement entrance is shared with the mall, which initially made me think it was a separate hotel garage.

I've stayed here before and always found the service and environment to be excellent. This time, my stay was just okay. It's probably showing its age now; if it were renovated, I might consider staying again. Also, the breakfast restaurant in the morning was incredibly hot, they didn't even bother to turn on the air conditioning. After eating breakfast once, I never wanted to go back up there; it was just too hot.

Absolutely love this hotel! This is my second time staying here in Guangzhou. The room style is exactly what I like, super clean, and they even offer free Starbucks coffee – it's just too good! Highly, highly recommend! 👍👍👍👍👍👍☕️

The hotel's environment and hygiene are generally quite good. The staff are also very patient and attentive. When I accidentally fell that day, they immediately provided band-aids and disinfectant. The hallway also had mouthwash and dental floss available, which shows great attention to detail. I'll definitely consider staying here again for my next trip! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
