Super convenient hotel as its right at Beijing road. Entrance was a lil tricky to find from taxi but fyi all you can walk through Mercure hotel lobby. Room is clean and has all the required things including team. Staff very helpful too altho they were clearly dealing with a lot of people taobaoing or ordering delivery. Thank you to 妮妮 for being very helpful and prompt with all my delivery related queries etc! One suboptimal point is that the lift building services a lot of floors so gotta wait quite a while for the lift.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a fantastic stay at Gionee Light Hotel Guangzhou! The location is absolutely perfect. The hotel is directly opposite Tee Mall and right in front of Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, making shopping, sightseeing, and dining incredibly convenient. The metro station is also just nearby, so getting around Guangzhou was quick and easy. There are countless shops, restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores within walking distance. Food delivery is very convenient too, with plenty of options available at all hours. Whether you’re looking for local Cantonese food, milk tea, coffee, or late-night snacks, everything is easily accessible. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The rooms are cozy and provide a great place to rest after a long day of exploring the city. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything tidy throughout my stay. A special mention to the hotel staff, who were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They were patient with questions and made the stay feel smooth and enjoyable from check-in to check-out. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with an unbeatable location.

Amazing service and location at the heart of beijing road! Front staff was always attentive and helpful. Rooms clean and as advertised. We went to other tourist streets and can say this is the most happening street with tons of food and shopping options! We will come back to this area if we return or recommend this place to others.

I loved that Gionee Light hotel (Guangzhou) shares the same building as Mercure hotel. It is well designated at Beijing Road, a famous shopping district and within walking distance to Tianhe Mall. The frontdesk/reception/staff were helpful and friendly, making my stay even more delightful. I definitely recommend Gionee Light hotel!!!

I had a wonderful stay at Gionee Light Hotel Guangzhou Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. The location is extremely strategic — just opposite Tee Mall and right next to YeYe Tea, making it very convenient for shopping, food, and exploring the area. The metro station is also only about 300 metres away and is located inside the mall, which made travelling around Guangzhou very easy. The room size was decent and comfortable, with a small table and sitting area that made the stay feel cosy and practical. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, suitable for both short and longer stays. What impressed me the most was the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. Special thanks to Nie Nie, who went the extra mile to help send my parcels to a China warehouse after my orders only arrived after I had already checked out. Her kindness and excellent service truly made my experience even better. Just a small note for guests planning to do laundry — only 2 of the hotel dryers seem to work well, while the others do not dry clothes very effectively. There is also usually a long queue of people waiting to wash and dry their clothes. Fortunately, the hotel offers a very helpful free laundry service. You can simply hand your clothes to the front desk, and they will help wash and dry them before sending them back to your room, which was very convenient and much appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Guangzhou, especially if you want a convenient location, comfortable rooms, and warm hospitality.

The room was very spacious — large enough to comfortably fit and open three luggage bags at once. The shower had exceptionally strong water pressure, which was a huge plus. Housekeeping also replenished bottled water and personal care/vanity kits daily. The room came equipped with a smart TV that supports casting, a hair dryer, and was kept very clean throughout the stay. There was also a cozy sofa corner with a tea set, which made the room feel even more comfortable. In terms of service, the front desk staff may not appear overly warm at first, but they were actually helpful and accommodating whenever needed. The housekeeping staff, on the other hand, were especially friendly and professional. The top floor features a self-service laundry room with around five washers and five dryers. It can get quite crowded after 11pm. There is also a gym, which is honestly one of the better-equipped hotel gyms I’ve come across. The hotel shares the same building as Mercure Hotel, but lift waiting times were generally reasonable except during peak hours. The lobby is located on the 10th floor, and I was initially a little surprised by its appearance as it felt more like a storage area. However, this did not affect the quality of the rooms or service at all. One of the most impressive aspects of the hotel was its location — extremely convenient, yet there was almost no noise from outside or the corridors, making the stay very peaceful. Cons: The bathroom does not have a bidet, and the room lacks a full-length mirror. Special shoutout to 小蔡 with my enquiries and helpful with my courier delivery.
