City Comfort Inn Hotel (Guangzhou South Railway Station)

Clean and new, but the soundproofing isn't great. Would stay again. They offer a free simple breakfast and it's very close to the Bird Park.

A hidden gem near Guangzhou South Railway Station! The hotel is incredibly clean, and the decor is simple yet elegant. The room was very quiet, providing a peaceful stay. It's also super convenient for getting around. I'm very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel again.

The room had a strong, unpleasant smell. I'm not sure what it was, as formaldehyde is odorless, but it was definitely noticeable. However, the bed was incredibly comfortable – I even managed to sleep soundly despite needing to catch an early morning train. The location is quite good, just a ten-minute walk to Guangzhou South Station. The staff were also very enthusiastic and helpful, which makes me feel even worse for them having to deal with that strange smell all day.

I stayed near Guangzhou South Station because I had to catch a high-speed train the next day. The environment was very clean and tidy, the front desk lady had a great attitude, and a robot delivered our food.

Arrived at the hotel late at night after a red-eye flight, and despite having a reservation, the front desk told me it was fully booked. Couldn't they at least scan my ID to confirm my booking first? Then, once I finally got to my room, the hairdryer was broken. I asked for a new one, and the front desk said they needed to come up and check if it was actually broken before sending a replacement. By the time they confirmed it and sent a new one up, another 10 minutes had passed. I'd advise everyone to steer clear of this place; the service is absolutely terrible.

The hotel room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Both the front desk staff and the cleaning ladies were friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that the hotel isn't very close to the station, so in the summer heat, taking a taxi is the only option.
