City Comfort Inn Canton Tower Sun Yat-sen University Branch

This hotel has gone severely downhill since I last stayed here last month when they first opened up. For some reason, it takes their slow employees over 10 minutes to check me in (last time it took them over 20 minutes), when I’ve stayed at over 30 other hotels in China and they check me in within a minute. There were long strands of hair and dirt all over the room and bathroom floor when I checked in and in the new room I was switched to. In the new room, I found a dead bug underneath the curtains, and the AC wasn’t strong. It took over 12 hours to fully cool my room. In just one month of operations, it looks like this hotel aged 5 years. The hallway carpet is really dirty and has trash all over it. The included washer and dryer machines are great though. But with the decline in cleaning and already aging physical condition of the hotel, I will not be coming here again. Even after voicing my negative concerns to the female staff who kept laughing, she said she’d wanted a good review in exchange for a an extra hour late 3:00 checkout (past my 2:00 late checkout included by Trip.com). I thought her suggesting that was very unprofessional and situationally insensitive, the guy next to her handled my concerns well though.
