🪻Changxijia Hotel exceeded all my expectations. The room looked exactly like the photos, if not better. The overall aesthetic is peaceful, calm, and genuinely relaxing, perfect for a holiday or even a staycation.
I only stayed for one night before moving to another area, but this is definitely where I’ll return when I’m back in Guangzhou.
🪻The room comes well-equipped with all the essentials, including beautifully scented shampoo and body wash, a comfortable lounging set, and a complimentary minibar with milk, soda, and mineral water.
🪻Breakfast: You can choose from three set options, dim sum, changfen, and another option I unfortunately forgot, alongside a small buffet with steamed sweet potatoes, corn, salad, toast, congee, coffee, and soy milk. It’s perfect if you want something light but still energizing.
Turndown service included a fruit platter with some of the most delicious fruits I’ve had. And I’m saying this as someone from Thailand, we take our fruit seriously.
🪻Location: The hotel is on the 5th to 6th floors of Modern Mall, right by Dongshankou Station Exit C. There’s a direct elevator from the hotel floor to the subway level during mall hours, which is incredibly convenient. The area is also very walkable.
🪻The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. I don’t speak Chinese, but they were patient and accommodating while communicating. Most staff members spoke fluent English, and the night shift staff member I met, though she didn’t speak much English, was especially friendly and patient. As with traveling anywhere, having Google Translate on hand is always a good idea, and everything went smoothly.
I’m still a bit sad I missed the complimentary afternoon tea at the café because I was too sleepy, but that just gives me another reason to come back next time.
