Highly recommended for a 'hotel staycation' with kids. The room type is excellent, the food is great, and there are plenty of activities. The hotel's culinary team consistently delivers high-quality dishes; if you're looking for authentic Cantonese flavors, I definitely recommend getting the package that includes food and accommodation. After your meal, you can take the kids for a swim, or if you prefer not to get wet, there's a gym. The huge garden on the first floor feels like a mini Grand View Garden, offering an experience of old-school luxury. The rooms are a bit older but very clean, and you can really feel the meticulous care in their operation and management, with top-notch service. We happened upon a September package that allowed for an upgrade to a suite – highly recommended!

Cleanliness: Good, even the trash cans were spotless. Facilities: A bit old, but it's an older hotel, so that's acceptable. Service: Excellent! All the staff we encountered along the way were enthusiastic, polite, and full of smiles. LENA at the front desk had a great attitude, thumbs up! 👍 We were on a staycation with elders and children, and were satisfied with both the food and accommodation. We also visited the museum to learn about the hotel's history. The only issue I'd like to bring up is the air conditioning and ventilation in the room. After reaching the set temperature, it didn't seem to blow much air, and then there was a stuffy, peculiar smell. Overall, we were satisfied! 😀

This hotel is an excellent choice, whether you're traveling for business or a getaway with friends. The buffet offers a great selection, and you can enjoy beautiful night views in the evening. The dim sum at Lizhiwan is also plentiful, with authentic Cantonese dishes. The Kapok Suite is spacious, and a extra bed can be added if needed.

Facilities: Well-equipped, American-style decor, everything is online and timeless. Hygiene: Established cleanliness, but details like table corners could use more attention. Environment: You can shop, eat, drink, play, and visit a museum all within the hotel. Service: Everyone is on point, and the switchboard processes calls immediately. As the only national brand among China's three platinum five-star hotels, it boasts unique historical and cultural elements, and is a symbol of China's reform and opening-up. Its history and ethos are evident. My first impression during check-in was that everyone was very busy; while check-in was slow, the staff were very pleasant. As a Lingkehui Gold Card member, in addition to a room upgrade, I also received complimentary breakfast and executive lounge access. If room availability allows, late checkout until 2 PM is possible. The hotel has a very high occupancy rate, with many foreign guests and airline crew. There might be some communication gaps between departments like housekeeping and restaurants. This time, my Deluxe King room was upgraded to a Red Kapok King Suite. The room, being older, combined with ongoing government construction nearby, meant the soundproofing was a bit lacking. The extra bed was too soft and a bit uncomfortable, and some other hardware in the room was a bit dated, but it didn't detract too much from the stay. On the first floor, there's an outdoor back garden with a small waterfall, both popular photo spots. I saw many people taking pictures, it was lively. The ornamental fish in the pond were huge. On the 4th floor, there's a free, public Garden Hotel Museum (closed Mondays), which is well worth a visit, explaining the development history of various hotels and just how amazing Garden Hotel is. You really must spend some time exploring it. The gym (well-equipped) and outdoor swimming pool (not heated) are on the other side of the 4th floor, with two squash courts (reservation required). All hotel signage is in Chinese, English, and Japanese. There's currently construction outside the hotel (the typical 'dong dong dong' sound of Guangzhou)... You really should experience our Garden Hotel with its Lingnan characteristics.

The Garden Hotel Guangzhou is, by far, the most satisfying and best value-for-money hotel I've stayed in this year. Staying in a five-star, old-money style hotel is just so comfortable. All the furniture is made of high-quality solid wood, giving the entire hotel an understated yet grand and luxurious feel. The room was incredibly spacious! The front desk upgraded me to a Kapok Suite, which made the experience even better! The entire hotel feels like a classic museum, a true grand garden. There are many dining options, including the Waterfall Restaurant on the 1st floor, Taoyuan Pavilion and Ming Shi Court on the 2nd floor, and the revolving restaurant on the 30th floor (where you can see Canton Tower). Our package included the buffet at the 30th-floor revolving restaurant and dim sum breakfast at Taoyuan Pavilion on the 2nd floor. The view from the 30th-floor restaurant is fantastic! It's a shame it was typhoon weather during my visit; I definitely need to go back on a clear, sunny day next time. The dim sum breakfast was also delicious, and the small dishes were exquisite. The hotel hosts many international guests, and every staff member serves with a smile – it truly is a classic, international-standard 'Old Canton' hotel. Excellent value!

A special thanks to Shuey and Gebby at the front desk! I checked in with my child, and they introduced us to the hotel's back garden, which had so many fish – my child absolutely loved it. They also thoughtfully arranged for a bed rail and children's amenities. So incredibly considerate!

This is an established high-end hotel in Guangzhou, popular with international guests. It boasts its own museum, multiple specialty restaurants, and a private rear garden with a waterfall. The free parking and comprehensive one-stop service are excellent! The location is convenient, and the service is prompt and attentive. Special notes: 1. The hotel offers non-smoking floors, which guests can freely choose. 2. The 'Taojin' metro station is right outside the hotel, offering extremely convenient transportation. 3. The hotel museum on the 4th floor is well worth a visit, and it's free for guests. 4. The specialty restaurants are quite distinctive, ranging from high-end Michelin dining to local Cantonese dim sum.
