The room felt quite new, like it had just been renovated. I initially thought an older hotel might have outdated facilities, so I'm pleasantly surprised and very satisfied.

The service was excellent; the staff at the restaurant, lobby, and even the doorman were all very attentive. The location is fantastic – right next to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and the subway station is just a 3-minute walk away. Beijing Road Pedestrian Street is only about 10 minutes away, making dining very convenient. I did see comments about the carpet having an odor and the furniture being old, and those points are true. However, I still believe in the quality of a 4-star hotel, and I was very satisfied overall.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from the subway station, situated on Guangzhou's main thoroughfare, Dongfeng Road. It's even closer to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, which is a big plus. It's a great spot for a staycation or checking out the sights. Plus, there are plenty of dining and shopping options just across the skybridge.

This is an old hotel, I've stayed here countless times. The facilities are well-maintained, and its central location makes it convenient to get to all points in the city. The price and service offer excellent value for money!

A proper star-rated hotel really is different; I definitely made the right choice! Although it's an older property, the facilities are well-maintained. There's no sense of it being run down. On the first night, I woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of smoke. I reported it to the front desk first thing in the morning the next day, and they quickly moved me to a new room. Absolutely fantastic!

After a three-day trip in Zhuhai, I still chose Guangdong Hotel when returning to Guangzhou. In my opinion, this hotel is excellent in three aspects: great location, impeccable hygiene, and top-notch service. Especially after comparing it with hotels in Zhuhai, I have to give this place extra praise. The hotel is close to many of Guangzhou's attractions, and there are tons of great food options nearby. I tried Lianhualou and Huixingyuan, and a small shop nearby served an amazing ginger milk pudding. The surrounding area has a lively, authentic local vibe, and you can really feel Guangzhou's festive Chinese New Year atmosphere reflected in the flower displays all over the streets. It truly lives up to its name as the 'City of Flowers,' and this hotel perfectly complements the beauty of Guangzhou.

Whenever I come to Guangzhou, I'll definitely stay at Guangdong Hotel. The room is clean and tidy, and the service is super good. They even gave me a little horse figurine when I checked in, and there were fruits, cookies, and candies in the room. They put four bottles of water in the room at once, and there's also water available for guests to take in the hallway. It's incredibly quiet both inside and outside the room, despite being so close to the subway. The breakfast buffet is very rich and varied. Looking forward to my next trip to Guangzhou!
