Room and facilities are well maintained. The location is very strategic and close to all market and shop mall. Short minute walking to the metro. Nearby Indian and East Asia foodies are a great plus also. 24hrs shop, bank, hospital and the surroundings are all convenient. The building and the furnitures are vintage which I like. The staffs were very helpful. This was my 2nd stay and will come back again.

The room was clean but felt a bit dated. The air conditioning unit, though old-fashioned with its switch, was surprisingly powerful, making the room quite cold, so I turned it off as soon as I got in. The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the river, and it's steeped in unique history and culture. Back in its glory days, it was a prestigious luxury hotspot, known as the go-to venue where high-ranking officials entertained distinguished guests! I'd suggest renovating the rooms and walls, perhaps with a heritage-style refurbishment, as the wallpaper and ceiling panels are showing visible wear, damage, and cracks from age. Despite these issues, the price offers good value for money.

Excellent service and clean rooms. The location is superb and very convenient, with a top-notch environment. Its prime geographical position means it's incredibly close to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Shisanhang Garment Wholesale Market. The accommodation offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

I was disappointed for my stay at AIQUN, I think there should be renovation inside too, not only the outside. I tried there because my friends told me that they were renovated. Actually the room where I stayed was very worn-out. The floor corridor ceiling too. The only thing I was impressed is the buffet breakfast RMB38/pp for hotel guests, which is good value for money & highly recommended.

Staying at Guangzhou’s most historical hotel was a unique experience. As all queen room has been occupied, I was upgraded to a suite for a day. Zhujiang River view is stunning. The hotel not far from Yuexiu Centre, is ideal. The service was average, and the room had noticeable dust. Some historical features like buttons were no longer functional, preserving these would enhance the charm. I was amazed to see 1937 hanger stand in the room. With facility upgrades, this hotel could easily achieve 4-star status. Overall, its historical allure makes it worth visiting.

The hotel has is located just afew minutes walk from a subway, and has nice views of the river. The room is nice and big, and there was even a bathtub. But, the bathtub was quite rusty, so maybe the rooms could use a little update.

Nice stay in this historically significant building. Internally it’s a bit worn, scruffy and aged, but that is to be expected for the cheap price. Location is excellent on the banks of the Pearl River in easy walking distance to Shamien Island. Bed was clean and comfy and staff friendly. I enjoyed my stay and will come back and stay again. You may need Google translate if you cannot speak Cantonese or Mandarin!

Found three cockroaches in my room. Booked the room for 7 nights but left and checked out before sleeping for even a single night.

Good location and view - next to river and historic area. But room in poor state of repair - chipped paint and bathroom fixtures falling off.

the rooms offered after checked in does not match what is advertising on website and on trip.com. furniture are broken, dirty, bathroom are dirty, broken. and most important, very smelly with mold, smoke, and wet.

Hotel requires upgrade. Things are dated not working properly. Management is not flexible and accommodating. However location is excellent.
