Hotel Guangzhou Tower Haizhu Wanda Plaza

Probably the best residential property in the radius of 500m. Delightful for sure.

I travelled to Guangzhou for the Canton Fair and stayed at this hotel for two nights. I’m a woman travelling alone, so I always look for a place that feels safe. The photos on the website looked nice, but when I arrived around 2 AM, the building felt old , scary and was under renovation, with workers still around. The two reception staff were polite, but after checking in, I found out that my room was only accessible by a very steep and narrow staircase. I had two big suitcases, and I honestly didn’t know the room would be like this when I booked. Fortunately, a kind local guest helped me carry my luggage up because it was too heavy for me. The overall atmosphere felt a bit uncomfortable and quiet in a way that made me nervous, especially since I was staying alone. I even had to sleep with the lights on. The room wasn’t very clean, and the sink was leaking, so water dripped onto my feet every time I used it. For the price, I didn’t expect anything perfect, but it was still inconvenient. Later, my key card stopped working, and even after contacting reception, it still couldn’t be fixed. Because of all these issues, I decided to check out earlier than planned. I didn’t ask for a refund since I felt it was mainly due to my own comfort level. Overall, the stay just wasn’t very convenient for me

The hotel was good. It is set up more like a living apartment, complete with a washer, dryer and even a cooking stove and even a massage chair in the room I got. My only complaint, there was no microwave or pan to heat anything. Will recommend.

Rooms and the view from room is good, really loved the space round the hotel, we can get all the groceries and households near by. For any kind of food you can get down around from. But there is no gym or breakfast facilities as shown while booking.

The hotel has a very good location, which makes moving around the city much easier. The amenities are a nice detail, and the hot water is plentiful and reliable, something travelers always appreciate. Cleanliness is well maintained, and overall, the place feels comfortable and welcoming. That said, I believe the reception staff could improve by smiling a little more and being more empathetic. A hotel is often a refuge for travelers from the challenges of the road, and that warmth makes a big difference. In general, though, it was a very good stay, and I would recommend the hotel.
