"Had an amazing stay at Hilton Guatemala City! I feel like this hotel has gotten a decent amount of hate, and while it is true that the hotel is a bit older, there is a sort of historic, rustic sense to it that goes along with the colonial style of the building. Rooms were large, with very comfortable beds and the bathroom was quite enjoyable as well. The front desk folks were really nice, and they do speak English so that's a plus and very helpful if you don't know much Spanish. As for the hotels location, yes it is a bit further away from the city center, but not ridiculously so. It is easy to request an Uber from here and tour companies will also pick you up from this location."

"With visiting a new country, I was a little uncertain about the right hotel to stay in, but, when I pulled up in the Uber, I was BEYOND grateful that the pictures matched real-life. The entire hotel had an old world, relaxed vibe, that made the wind down easier. I have never traveled to Guatemala before and the friendly service has me considering returning, for a longer, personal trip. Even though I'm not fluent, in the native language, most of the ppl with whom I came in contact, including hotel staff, were VERY helpful and patient. The bed was VERY comfortable, the room smelled like it had been cleaned, recently and it was VERY spacious."
