However the beds have no privacy as it doesn’t come with blinds for compartmentalisation. Make sure you bring your own local plug converter to charge your gadgets."

ăƒŒăƒŒThe hotel staff was very kind. They explained the hotel rules to me, who is not good at English, kindly and carefully. The water pressure is low, but it is tolerable.

GGelitemiousilvluSeriously, you guys! This hostel in Hongdae, Seoul, is absolutely amazing! The location is superb, just a few steps from the subway exit. Whether you're heading to Myeongdong for some bustling shopping or Gyeongbokgung Palace for sightseeing, you can easily get there by subway—zero travel stress. The hostel itself is clean and tidy, with cozy and comfortable rooms. The common areas have a fantastic vibe, perfect for meeting fellow travelers from all over the world. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to answer any questions. In the evenings, the area around Hongdae is incredibly lively; you can just step downstairs and dive right into the trendy atmosphere. If you're planning a trip to Seoul, don't hesitate—this is the hostel to pick!

GGuest UserThe location is perfect for tourist. The airport bus stop is near and also the metro station. The location is mostly crowded as it is a popular destination for tourist. Cleanliness was good but not perfect as the hotel has many guests and sometimes these guests make the area dirty especially the kitchen area, hence I suggest that there should be a dedicated housekeeper or at least post some notes like ”Clean As You Go”. The staff in the counter sounds robotic which is understandable, it's a good thing everything they say was on print. The only thing I want to improve is the location of the toilet...One area has a toilet located 2 floors below...Why not have toilets for both male and female on each floor? Believe it or not I saw a man coming out from the female's toilet on the 5th floor because the men's toilet was located on the 3rd floor.

KKaidiniyaWe stayed at Apollo Guesthouse for five days in October and had a great experience. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a private bathroom. Although there was no daily cleaning, everything was tidy and well-maintained. The location is very convenient — two subway stations, 24-hour convenience stores, and plenty of cafĂ©s are all within walking distance. There’s also a shared kitchen on the first floor, which was very handy. The staff were wonderful — they all speak excellent English, and everyone was polite and friendly. The hotel definitely offers great value for money. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Apollo Guesthouse to other travelers.

AanhkimThe dorm room on the first floor has three bunk beds, accommodating up to six guests. It's a mixed dorm. While the room is small, it wasn't an issue since I spent most of my time in the common area when not sleeping. Shampoo is provided in the shared shower rooms. As it's a guesthouse, your experience will likely vary depending on who your fellow guests are. It's about a 10-minute walk from Itaewon Station on Seoul Subway Line 6. Be aware that the route involves either a steep slope or stairs, so it might be challenging for guests with mobility issues.

GGuest UserThe room was average. I sprayed a lot of insect repellent. Myeongdong is just downstairs, so transportation is very convenient. The staff was not there when I checked in, so I dragged my luggage upstairs with my child. When I checked out, the staff got up early to help us take our luggage downstairs. Thank you. The TV in the room has Netflix, which my child likes very much. I didn't expect this.

GGuest UserDo not be deceived by the official photos aa they seem to be from long ago. The room I was given was in a sorry state. The intro said mountain or city view, there was no view to talk about, that is if you even dare to touch the extremely dusty blinds and Window. The sink was faulty on day 1 and I reported it to reception who told me they will need some parts and will change so on day 2. Day 2 came and went and nothing was done because the manager had more important thing to do than repair a faulty sink. Asked again on Day 3 to see if they could change my room since they can't fix the sink and was told 'there's no extra room'. By then,i had already put up with 2 nights with a faulty sink and had 2 more nightscat this place. On day 4, the receptionalist came to me to offer to change my room (I guess they have no intention to fix the sink) but by then I had only 1 night left so i rejected. It took them 4 days to even remotely solve the problem. As per the photos, the room was extremely dusty at places. The receptionist are very polite and communicates very well. Sadly, though they had no power to problem solve. The fridge in the room stopped working the moment you take out the key card. I learnt it the hard way when I went back to warm drinks at night. The best feature is the fridge in the common area.

ZZd650Amazing place in a great location. It has everything you could need. Shower, bathroom, private room with a mini fridge included. This was my second time staying here and I highly recommend it to any solo traveler. The price is amazing and it is a 1 minute walk from Line 2 the green line. Super easy access to Lotte World and shopping at any of the malls on line 2. I will be staying here again in a month and a half.

YYelinI recently stayed at a hotel in Seoul and had a truly pleasant experience. The location was ideal—right in the city center, just a short walk from popular districts like Myeongdong and Insadong, and close to a subway station, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed, including fast Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a sleek bathroom. The view from the upper floors was also impressive, especially at night when the city lights came alive. Staff were courteous and helpful, always ready with recommendations for local restaurants or help with transportation. I especially appreciated the daily housekeeping and the quiet atmosphere throughout the hotel, which made it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing

MMary KathrynWe were able to locate the guest house easily using Naver Map. However, our first struggle was how to reach the destination itself. The guesthouse is located in an uphill area, almost near Namsan Cable Car (600km/20min walk). A great tip we discovered (after struggling of walking uphill for 2 days 😂) was using the escalators/elevators near the Ihoeyeong Memorial Hall. Go straight from there and you’ll find a 7-Eleven convenience store upon crossing the street. Go left then right at the first wide alley way you see, it should be uphill. Keep on walking until you see a signage of mama guest house on your right side. We booked a day before our arrival so we could immediately check-in in our rooms. A note welcomed us and our keys were found at the reception area. Pls don’t forget to remove your shoes and change into the slippers they provide found in the shoe cabinet at the left side of the entrance. Our rooms were next to each other, but differ in size. Bathroom was okay, but I hope they’ll fix the sink’s pipe problem in room 104 since it leaks on the floor upon using. I suggest buying shower filters (5,000 Won) since the water in SK is quite harsh. I suggest to test how you’ll adjust the temperature when showering. There were no bidets in our bathrooms. Always bring your keycard with you whenever you go out. They don’t go into your rooms like hotels would. If you have any requests, just leave a note on their desk (ie. New towels, tissue, etc.) They also don’t have laundry machines. Do not eat inside the rooms, only in the kitchen which is in the basement. If you feel like your trash bins are getting full, trash bins are found in the lobby and segregate everything according to their waste category. Just think of it as you’re staying on your own room. Walls are thin, made of light wood materials so I wouldn’t suggest talking nor listening to your phone loudly. Breakfast menu were cereals with milk, bread and flavored jam, and instant noodles. You can only consume what’s inside the fridge unless there’s a note that a room guest owns it. You can cook and buy your own food, just make sure you clean up after. You can also fill-up your water bottles here. Going to different areas are easy too since it’s near Myeongdong Station exit 1. If you’re planning to go shopping in Myeongdong, just go straight after exit 1 and you should see E-Mart across the street then cross on the first crosswalk you see. If you want to enter the “main” street, go left until you see the bug HBAF building. Overall, I think our stay was a good since the staff we get see was very accommodating to our requests. I just hope they’ll fix some of their bathroom leakage.
