Confucius Hotel

When I first arrived in Guiyang, I was staying at a downtown hotel. I happened to stumble upon Shili Hetan (Ten-Mile River Beach) and discovered this peaceful oasis. I immediately wished I could stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, it was fully booked at the time. Later, after our trip back from Bijie, I checked again and saw rooms were available. I quickly booked a two-bedroom suite and moved in with my elderly parents and children. Our reception host, Ms. Li Xing, was incredibly kind and helpful. She proactively assisted us with our luggage on both our arrival and departure days. One rainy day, when my elderly parents were alone in the room, she kindly helped arrange room service for them, which was a huge relief for me. The hotel's location is also more convenient for visiting Tianhetan and Qingyan Ancient Town than staying in the city center. My daughters were thrilled, wearing the tie-dyed dresses they made themselves. 🥰 The hotel restaurant served delicious food. And on a rainy day, having the option for room service was incredibly convenient. A special thanks to the room service attendant who braved the rain to deliver our meal of five dishes and one soup to our room. The hotel's intangible cultural heritage experience area is perfect for children and teenagers. My two kids, one in middle school and one in elementary school, had a blast painting Peking opera masks, decorating fans, and making sachets. If you stay here, I highly recommend exploring the nearby Shili Hetan. You can take a sightseeing shuttle for just 10 yuan to traverse the entire area from north to south. The Confucius Academy nearby is also well worth a visit. On the 16th, I discovered that Mr. Luo Zhenyu had arrived in Guiyang, and his event was held right at the Huaxi Confucius Academy. Ahhh... I had just left, so I completely missed it! 😂

The room was fantastic! Although the amenities felt a little dated, they were incredibly well-kept. The breakfast spread was quite extensive, and the night view was simply unbeatable. It was also perfect for taking an evening walk.

The hotel is quite spacious, and the butler service was excellent. It's nestled by the mountains, offering fantastic views and fresh air. The cleaning staff were also very diligent. The only minor downside was the outdoor air conditioning unit, which was a bit noisy and could be an issue for light sleepers. Otherwise, it would definitely be a hotel with unbeatable value for money.

The hotel is located right next to the Shilihetan Scenic Area and boasts a pleasant environment. However, its remote location makes dining out or ordering food delivery quite inconvenient, so it's really best suited for guests with their own transport. Room service was only average, and it was particularly inefficient in the evenings. The hotel's featured activities were also nothing special. Breakfast was pretty standard.

An exceptional stay that truly exceeded our expectations, offering incredible value for money! We called ahead to inform them we'd be staying with a child, and they thoughtfully prepared children's slippers and toothbrushes in advance. They even provided kid-friendly drinks like AD Calcium Milk, which our child absolutely loved. Service: Upon arrival, there were several parent-child activities to choose from. Our child picked bracelet making and coloring, and had a fantastic time. Ambiance: The environment is exquisitely elegant, situated next to Kong Xuen Tang (Confucian Academy) and Shili Hetan (Ten-Mile River Beach). It boasts a captivating classical charm.

A really great hotel. I stayed here last summer and opted to stay again this year. It boasts a convenient location with plenty of fantastic food options in the area.
